How does this site differs from FaceBook for you?

The main difference for me is that I can block certain people's posts from my view there, but not here.

none of my friends and relatives know I am on this site, so they don't read what I post here. For I bet they don't agree with everything I post here, but it's my way of thinking.

Are you making a comparison with Facebook's dating site and C.S. or just the site itselfdunno

I know all the people on my Facebook page and we certainly wouldn't speak to each other the way they do on these Forums. I do agree that it's easier to hide things on Facebook, also people if they drive you bats like some tend to do with all their personal details. lol

Facebook for me is a way of communicating with people without the cost of phone calls especially those that live in other countries. It's a great way of sharing within your chosen friends group.

Well, indeed, the chosen groups make all the difference. I have suggested to the mods here to divide the flow by some kind of categories, so that regular people would skip religious freaks or q-anonists, without success.

Though, I didn't know that FB has a dating angle. This place certainly doesn't :)

Doesn't an international forum has some roots here or there?

Better crapology at CS, and more accountability in FB.

I recently rejoined FB, rarely use it.

My Qigong teacher has a group on FB and he usually answers within 24 hours. Extremely important for me.

Then there are people, who I might meet in the real life, but we are not especially interested in each other. So being "friends" on FB is kinda social thing without any substance. And in that aspect it is exactly as CS.

Then there are rare occasions of joy, as when I received a message from one of the members of the group I'm participating in, in Spanish so I didn't get much safe for: "Seniora bella! Kayakismo! Patagonia!" I never been to Patagonia, but why not? So I answered: "Senior attactivo! Considerismo!"

But then came the pandemics :/

I have to filter 99% of my thoughts on Facebook, and 98% in reality. It's here where I can give a completely frank and absolutely thoughtless opinion without the loss of all my friends.

oh well, for a moment I almost belied the "attactivo" was directed to me and at FB hs some useful stuff

Just kidding. I know people who use FB who have positive social activities and have good feedback as a social platform. Not my "social platform"

My FB is almost solely for family and a few close fiends. ( easy way to find out about population growth/reduction )

Seniora bella. at least that was real

I communicate with my family and friend directly: phone calls or mail or meeting in person. I have no one, who really matters personally, on FB.

It's "hombre atractivo" says Google translate, should have checked before answering. Well... live and learn :)

I get to see pictures of all my Cousin's Grandchildren on FaceBook but never did anything on it for dating or romance. Also have a few friends from high school on it and a few other relatives. My Aunt has 22 Greatgrandchildren and she has 5 of her own.

For me, the main difference is, I know about CS, and spend time here... I don't know what Facebook is, I've never used it, I've heard good and bad things about it. I don't have any family or friends, is that what Facebook is for? CS allows me to talk to people from all over the world, play music, and the chance of meeting someone ...

You can meet people from all over the world online using facebook too as well as post music or anything else you want to on fb.

There is more censorship on fb though. I’ve been fact checked of fb numerous times but nothing deleted by the fb nerds from heaven.... yet

FB is an invaluable way of keeping in touch with people you've met while travelling, especially people from other parts of the world. Also the many groups on there keep me informed of various activities taking place and introduces me to like minded people. FB really does influence how I live my life, CS is just a bit of an occasional distraction.
