seeing all, knowing all defining all, denoting all living all, feeling all across reference of notion for further citations please refer to the emotional index
it's all been looked up before it's all been studied before it's all expounded upon greatly it's all been good to know

to feel complete soulful emotion Homer, Shakespeare, Gothe, an' more speak across humanity's timeless ocean to live our lives, they do implore
scrolls, pages, files, some sticks of words all manner of soliloquies and lyrical songs relate our human hearts' conditions absurd observed, we best find where we belong
yet where we belong is so often unknown whatever fit, the puzzle lies beforehand being snipe in gutter or king on throne turn and shape, our piece to comprehend
can others truly know and be known can we ourselves even know the true us or is discernment only what we are shown and path of each only observed as thus
whatever place or path or existence that woman or man is to stand or stroll every life has its own insistence even captive body keeps its own soul
Poetry in my eyes has achieved it's reason for birth if it makes us think...we may not come to the same conclusion, but maybe we find a common link with flow and reason.. I remembered a wise dance coach, who insisted the problems always started a step before it became a problem.....Great write goodguy2have...Niah.

It's all been booked up and studied before, Was expanded upon and seems quite good to know, Yet man is at crossroads inquiring thus: Where do we belong or who we really are. And the answer I have may be stated as such: We're going to live and enjoy our lives In Goodguy's high-spirited joyous style.

"every life has its own insistence even captive body keeps its own soul"
Hi, agoodguy2have, is discernment only what we are shown? Perhaps. For better or worse, we are all teachers. When the poet refers to the emotional index , is it the index of emotion's level, the index of all emotions, or both? Just wondering as I stroll... Love the write.

verse like this makes this site worthwhile, you have an exquisite perspective which we all love, dear Goodguy, thanks for sharing...
Not only an unabridged soul but an old soul as well. We all have our place in the universe. :) Wonderfully written!!

This is a cleverly crafted poem GG. It speaks of what art is about and particularly poetry. It has all been done before by the great writers of each age. It's what a thinking person does but we each have our own unique individuality our own "unabridged soul". What we learn on here is the multiplicity of thought that comes through reading and writing poetry and sometimes we're in agreement and sometimes it's new to us. Hopefully we are also defining ourselves to some extent but of course if we were that transparent there wouldn't be much to write about.
