The last two stanzas made me reconciled to you, Agoodguy, otherwise you would have made me your enemy. Compassionate ending of a selfish poem. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

when I grow past I wanna ... if I ever am able to awaken to realize my dreams are forsaken and compassion is life's journey
I will attempt to guess this is around 50 Years old after one realises there is not enough time for the above dreams to actualise and decides the next best thing...... ;)

Oh...agoodguy2have...when I was growing up we had a neighbours little boy who only seemed to say, 'I wanna.' Reading this I remembered him vividly...but like us all when we age...I hope he changed too.....Niah...

Hi Good Guy
A good philosophical write. To be always wanting more than we've already got really is a curse.

Dave, you were my first comment and always positive. You are everywhere it would seem and so supportive. I think you are well on your way to achieving your last goals. Cheers my friend and Happy New Year.
Hi, agoodguy2have, When I was young, I wanted to be a doctor, a teacher, help save the world when I grew up. [Though, I do remember wanting to have a Mercedes when I grew up (but had no idea of its $ value).] Now, I just want good friends and family and a reliable car that is eco-friendly - and world peace! and must learn to live with the fact that, unless we change things, "this is it" and I will probably never entirely grow up.
