computers are fickle things i think
and bring my sanity to the brink

i click the button to make it say
but it turns its attention another way

and flashes up some cryptic message
that portends future troubles' presage

then i see it wants another update
i don't understand, i can't relate

why it always wants to change something
and then reboot. 'cause it can't ping

who cares if this computer can't reach
the internet? forget about it, I screech!

is there anyone really in that box
that i could trick, i could outfox

to get this computer to read my mind
then everything would be just fine

what matters to me, this moment, right now
is to print my report and not allow

my day to go south, right down the drain
the printer won't print and my computer complains

all i want is for it to do
all the things i ask it to
