Blithering idiot Can’t make lawn mower run The gas? The carburetor? Don’t know what’s wrong? I pulled and pulled the cord Watched as the flywheel spun Plenty of spark and gas Still feeling so strong At last I closed the choke Gave it one last pull for fun Oh sure it roared to life As I glanced at it sidelong

About this poem:
That first mow job each spring it always happens when I just forget about that damn manual choke.
Oh.....I admit I have never mowed a lawn in my life....my dad even told my first husband I wasn't to mow lawns....I admit, we like to play ladies when it suits us......but glad you succeeded...Niah

Brought back memories. Don't need one now. Concrete lawn.
I remember one time I mowed the lawn for Country Kitchen, what a sight the customers got that day when they saw the black smoke pouring out of the mower because I filled the oil all the way up!
