Blithering Idiot

Blithering idiot
Can’t make lawn mower run
The gas? The carburetor?
Don’t know what’s wrong?
I pulled and pulled the cord
Watched as the flywheel spun
Plenty of spark and gas
Still feeling so strong
At last I closed the choke
Gave it one last pull for fun
Oh sure it roared to life
As I glanced at it sidelong

About this poem:
That first mow job each spring it always happens
when I just forget about that damn manual choke.

Oh.....I admit I have never mowed a lawn in my life....my dad even told my first husband I wasn't to mow lawns....I admit, we like to play ladies when it suits us......but glad you succeeded...Niahcheering teddybear

Brought back memories. Don't need one now. Concrete lawn.

Yankee4you, you're such a cut-up! Ether it'll start or it won't! ;-)

I remember one time I mowed the lawn for Country Kitchen, what a sight the customers got that day when they saw the black smoke pouring out of the mower because I filled the oil all the way up!rolling on the floor laughing dancing popcorn

Loved it. Great story. Hope you get your mowing done. Thanks for the smile. rolling on the floor laughing

the mowing got done but I'm afraid I'm going to need a new cutting blade, but I'm not adding anymore lines to this poem right now...haha.
