Sunshine and glowing rainbows Blue skies and fresh green grass Bright silvery full moon glows Golden haired sweet young lass Sandy beaches and bronzed bodies Shimmering water sprouting sails Umbrellas and faint smell of dubies Seashells and occasional snails Fresh air after morning drizzle Lilacs sweet scented breeze Backyard bbqs, seafood sizzle A woman that flirts like a tease Laughing childrens naive smile Purple Lilacs fragnant new smells Classical rock on the radio dial The evening call of whipporwills Canoe gliding, laughing with you Vivid multi- flowered meadows Fresh coffee and morning dew Swaying wind whipped willows Sundown then distant starlight The wind makes me feel free Moonlight now stalking twilight Fireflies assisting us all to see Throttle out of corner straighter Twin cam revving near redline Blue sky forever as you hold tighter Snap another gear racing the skyline Genuine Smiles a required must Cool summer evenings with view Dawn's breaking colours rust Did I say how much I love you

Hi boyshchrm
Thanks for taking us on such an amazing Summer's journey. You really captured the essence of the hundred and one things which combine to make the seasons so special.
Hi, boyshchrm6, Thanks for sharing what nourishes the poet's SummerTime soul. Reading it, I can taste with delight the fresh-squeezed lemonade of summer!
Thanks Bill. Yeh many more memories of what makes summer..but it would be a very long poem and perhaps get overdone by then. Some of my favourite memories however.
