Merry Christmas

This sound I hear upon the roof
What could it possibly be
Could it be the reindeer hooves
Or Santa's gliding sleigh

This noise so strange drives me insane
With wonder and suspense
I need to look yet dare I not
What if my hopes are dashed

So quietly I sneak on roof
Up on this building so tall
What do I see, some one's up here
I jump and yell surprise

The look of shock upon his face
As slowly he tumbled backwards
And off the roof he fell so quick
To hit the ground with sickening thud

What had I done, he lay down there
Moaning, groaning, looking ever so sad
With left leg bent oh so queer
Oh my God, What had I done

Poor Santa's leg is broken
Tonight there'd be no presents
The ambulance took Santa away
To the hospital they whisked him

They'd fix him up, I'm sure they would
But I'm deep in this mess
If people find out what I did
I think they might lynch me

So please forgive, I did not mean it
Have a Merry Christmas
And if no presents beneath the tree
Just think, it's the thought that counts

Santa will be OK, dear Steve, fixed in no time, don't worry, he has grown too old not to stumble from time to time, gifts will pile up, festivities will go on, but I can't agree more with what you say about thoughts of our loved ones and friends that really count and matter. Good wishes to you on this special occasion! Many thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas!!! buddies party reunion cartwheel flower
