yesterday the lights went out no more to hear the children shout small faces now are paint with tears their Christmas joy replaced by fear
as the snow ever-mounting was to spark a child's glee it didn't take very long til it brought down the trees flattening power lines, thus ending all play now how to keep warm was the need of the day
it's always amazing what the new day may bring will it bless us with laughter and spur us to sing or suddenly thrust us deep into grave danger and woe we shall never know why, when, or where ill wind may blow
merry christmas
