Twas just a simple conversation
not more than five minutes or so
but in that short span of listening
i watched the old mans eyes grow
he was telling me of honey
and what the bees do
but the sincerity in his voice
aroused my interests too
he spoke of the queen
and the role she plays
he spoke of the drones
and their busy little ways
he spoke of flavours
and the flowers that decide
he spoke of the trees
he did it pride
he enriched my life
with the knowledge that he shared
but it was the passion that he spoke with
my spirit he had ensnared........
