first chair

she sits rocking forth and back the chair
bow stringing notes throughout the air
her eyes closed, her brows are furrowed
performance focused, concentration through

she looks so lovely sitting there
long dark dress with long black hair
her head slowly sways with ebb and flow
as notes pour forth from string and bow

a sweet long note, a sentimental tune
remembers past joys ended all too soon
bow-crossed strings are mournful things
when memories of loves lost, it brings

to hear you with your sweet voice singing
the past times this violinist's bringing
it makes for sorrow, it brings forth smiles
this siren's stringed violin beguiles

Hi, agoodguy2have,
bow-crossed strings are mournful things
evokes the image of star-crossed lovers. Nicely tuned, with the siren's stringed violin beguiles both sorrow and smiles. Ah, love...
