Human Reason, A bit of Life
Late night and a little weary. When it rains it is a blessing to me and I always go out into it no matter the hour. I raise my face to the sky, close my eyes and outstretch my arms. It does wonders for the weary. Try it some time...you don't have to be weary to feel the love shower down upon you. :)
The dreams flow like water as they run into the river of life or reality. You can decide which way to go. Knowing that eventually reality will need to set in. It may force the door open making you realize you need to go forth following
Speak not to me words of praise and glory For I am but a humble servant and not worthy The deeds I perform are not done by my hands I am but an extension of my Master’s hands I seek no honour, no glory, I do all for Him Come to His light, let

"Left for dead" The words upon their lips As He hung bounded Bloodied by their tricks Confused words He spoke "You must die to live.. Be born again" Was it all in vain? Yet He lives in me I can't explain What seemed pleasing I gave up
Everyone judges poetry differently and many say this is not a poem/poetry, so what is really poetry and how do we really perceive it, you be the judge and please make comments, because in my eyes poetry is a true projection from your mind and how you put pen to paper. Written: 21st July 2013

Slice of life poem....
When I’m rich I will be happy So many times I’ve heard that said In the mansion on the hillside Gazing out to the sea below Driving round in my Ferrari Dining on the finest of fare People staring at me with eyes of envy Then I’ll know I’ve g
I just, I could relate to this one I guess.
There is a puzzle It has thousands of pieces The pieces all different shades of grey It's difficult to find which way To place your pieces and make them fit It may appear to be where it goes When it's not infact, now you've upset the flow
Appreciate what we have even the little bit in our lives , maybe it means nothing at that moment but actually that little bit gives purpose in us all. Another important message in it is to respect nature and the environment that we live in for its crucial to love the world we live for what we leave behind define what and who we are.So always RESPECT . Hope you enjoyed my poem!

I let the spirits take me to, where I cant be reached A simple place set in my mind, where I can find retreat A temporary manifestation, a santuary through time To alleviate and elevate, conscious thoughts of the mind. I meditate for comfort, b

The ROUNDEL is a deritave of rondeau and rondine... It has eleven lines constructed from two quatrains, and a triplet. The rhyme scheme only has two rhymes and a refrain from the first phrase of first line, thus, the second line rhymes with the refrain:.. a. b. a.B . b. a. b . a. b. a. B.. example: If he could know my songs are all for him, At silver dawn or in the evening glow, Would he not smile and think it but a whim, If he could know? Or would his heart rejoice and overflow, As happy brooks that break their icy rim When April's horns along the hillsides blow? I may not speak till Eros' torch is dim, The god is bitter and will have it so; And yet to-night our fate would seem less grim If he could know. --- Sara Teasdale

I will be 55 tomorrow. Not a spring chicken I know, but I still need reminding that life's not all a bed of roses ... but neither a constant pain in the neck. And on thinking about this today and this last year of my journey of life, this poem sort of popped out. I dedicate it to my daughters (R and V) who would probably never read it seeing it's posted on CS, and ofcourse to H. a beautiful lady from Brazil. I hope you enjoy this read. 10.09.09 xxx virgosign

Trial of life
A friend inspired this in me by sending me a book called "The Butterfly Effect".
To all who know the true value of old, used, and even worn out books that we can never judge by their covers...
The world has been blessed on this day of all days... Congratulations goes out to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their first son...
I wrote this from memory so may be slight errors! I love the base harshness at the beginning, the gentle reality and acceptance of the middle and the defiance and humour of the last line. I think the title of resolutions at 30 ( not 60, or 80 etc) is well thought out. In all the poem is a pleasant contrast and surprise.
