My Living Nightmare

My Living Nightmare

I don't mean to scare anyone with this poem. It is simply a look into what happens when someone is suicidal. I tried to paint a picture of an actual event. This happened to me ten years ago. What I wrote doesn't brake the rules. I've read them before I posted this poem. It say nothing about not posting about suicide.

A walk in Dantes hand

A walk in Dante’s hand

This describes how it feels for someone with chronic depression. From my end, my depression feels like a physical entity which I have been fighting against since I was 12. It is a fight I am alone in, and one I have nearly lost several times. I have nearly 100 poems which I have managed to type after writing, and this is my personal favourite

Depression

Depression

I saw these words quoted by a certain celebrity and felt a similar feeling towards how they felt and decided to pen this small poem of how one may feel in depression. If you know someone who`s depressed please resolve never to ask them why? Depression isn't` a straightforward response to a bad situation, depression just is, like the weather. Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness and loneliness they`re going through. Be there for them when they come through the other side. It`s hard to be a friend to someone who`s depressed, but it is one of the kindest, noblest and best things you will ever do. - Stephen Fry Depression is a flaw in chemistry, not character.
