"Ode to the Heart of a Soldier" is a powerful and emotionally resonant poem that explores the interior life of a soldier. Through its eight stanzas, the poem delves into the profound dedication, courage, and sense of purpose that fuels a soldier's journey. It honors the sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the protection of their homeland. The poem doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of war, instead, it emphasizes the soldier's bravery and determination even in the face of adversity. The soldier's love for their country, their willingness to fight for freedom and peace, and their unyielding spirit are all highlighted as key themes. The poem's title aptly encapsulates the spirit of the work, which is a tribute to the soldier's heart - the courage, the dedication, and the love that drives them. It serves as an homage to all soldiers, their resilience, their sacrifices, and their undying commitment to their cause. In its essence, "Ode to the Heart of a Soldier" is an exploration of the human spirit under extreme circumstances, illustrating the strength and resilience that defines a soldier.
This whimsical poem anthropomorphizes global organizations as players in a game of hide-and-seek, symbolizing the complexities and hidden actions of global politics and economics. It playfully critiques the elites who navigate these institutions, subtly wielding power. Despite its light-hearted tone, it acknowledges the grave consequences of their decisions. The poem aims to make the abstract concept of global governance relatable, aiming to provoke thought and discussion. The poem was written with a spirit of light-hearted cynicism, highlighting the absurdity of these power dynamics, yet it carries an underlying hope for a more transparent, shared global governance. This ode falls under the category of "Satirical Poetry." Satirical poetry uses humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues. In this case, the ode humorously critiques the often unseen actions of global elites, symbolized by leaders of major international organizations, and their effect on world affairs.

This poem, titled "It Takes Two for a Tango," is a beautiful exploration of love and partnership through the metaphor of a tango dance, taking place in the natural backdrop of a blooming garden. Each flower represents a unique aspect of love, making the poem rich in imagery and symbolism. The poetry flows rhythmically, much like the dance it describes, and uses the flowers as a progression through different stages of love, from passion (roses) to purity (daisies), commitment (lilies), joy (sunflowers), harmony (tulips), mystery (orchids), gentleness (violets), brightness (marigolds), and finally the culmination of love's journey (garden).(To Maharlika)
The poem "Queen Searching Lost Kingdom" is a beautiful and deeply evocative narrative, eloquently capturing the journey of a queen in search of her lost realm. It effortlessly weaves the theme of perseverance, love, and the power of hope through its exquisite lines. (To Maharlika)

This poem, titled "It Takes Two for a Tango," is a beautiful exploration of love and partnership through the metaphor of a tango dance, taking place in the natural backdrop of a blooming garden. Each flower represents a unique aspect of love, making the poem rich in imagery and symbolism. The poetry flows rhythmically, much like the dance it describes, and uses the flowers as a progression through different stages of love, from passion (roses) to purity (daisies), commitment (lilies), joy (sunflowers), harmony (tulips), mystery (orchids), gentleness (violets), brightness (marigolds), and finally the culmination of love's journey (garden). The poem explores how love, like a dance, needs rhythm, timing, understanding, and mutual respect between the dancers. It speaks to the intimacy and shared experiences of two individuals bound together, gracefully moving through life’s music. The choice of words, their rhythm, and the progression of ideas give the poem a romantic, thoughtful tone. The poet's use of nature imagery throughout also adds a sense of depth and makes the poem feel more alive and vivid. Overall, "It Takes Two for a Tango" beautifully encapsulates the dynamics of love and partnership through vivid imagery, compelling metaphors, and a rhythm that mirrors the dance it describes. It's a poignant, elegantly crafted piece of work. It is dedicated to MAHARLIKA 808
The poem "Queen Searching Lost Kingdom" is a beautiful and deeply evocative narrative, eloquently capturing the journey of a queen in search of her lost realm. It effortlessly weaves the theme of perseverance, love, and the power of hope through its exquisite lines. Each stanza, marked by the name of a flower, adds an extra layer of symbolism and depth. Flowers, traditionally associated with feelings and emotions, create a rich tapestry of images that underscore the queen's quest and her emotional landscape. This botanical theme contributes to an overall sense of continuity and growth, mirroring the queen's personal development throughout her journey. The journey of the queen could be interpreted metaphorically, not just as a quest for a physical kingdom, but also for internal fulfillment or self-discovery. The triumphant tone in the end, where the queen finds her kingdom and peace in a rose, suggests the completion of a transformative journey. It is dedicated to MAHARLIKA 808. Lastly, the use of rhyme and rhythm in the poem adds a lyrical quality, making it not only a joy to read, but also giving it a timeless, classic feel. Given that you've said this poem was inspired by a real 'queen' you know, it's evident that she is a strong and resilient figure. This poem, in its symbolic and metaphorical language, serves as a tribute to her journey and character.

4/9/2023: Another Easter has arrived and he has given this World so many chances. Will we have one more year of chances? Orig. message: Recently saw the movie "Risen" and it inspired me to write this poem. I usually like to write something light and more about nature. However, Palm Sunday - Good Friday - and Easter are coming up and I wanted to do something in honor of all the suffering my Lord and Savior went through and just how big a deal it was for all of Mankind. Thank you for reading even if it wasn't quite your cup of tea.
A few years ago I woke surrounded by a harbour, not living at the side. I had 4 Great Danes and 2 New Foundlands, and sat on comfy couch amongst my dogs. We were raised out of the water, as we waited the water level to subside. We'd moved the horses and stock in time, just incase.......but sadly recent floods came with no warning for so many......

Overwhelming evidence! TOO many Improbable comebacks...Teams play like champions one half and forget how the second half! Most games (especially the most relevant) are kept dramatic til final seconds so fans stay in there seats til the end. Networks have to have stories to tell each week.
