this is a poem that i hope will make things clear
to my mates on chat far and near
lifes ok but it has its peaks and falls
and sometimes it can kick yer straight in the balls,
so if you are reading this please dont shout,
c'mon mick spit it out
this is my poem i'll think you'll find,
so i'll take my time if you dont mind
at first when i found out i worried a bit
but its ok i can live with it
the thing that nearly bought me to my knees
was being diagnosed with parkinsons disease
i have had it now for a couple of years
and i have been through the worries an the fears
and now i am happy to say
i have a new way of life a different way
rather than dwell on things you can no longer do
i have explored other challenges, something new
i have always been a bit of a clown
and i always will be it wont get me down
and if your thinking can you still "do it"
you bet i can.....every bit
some so called mates that were with me where
i was fit and well no longer care
but i have been blessed with good friends so far
and at times like these you know who they are
so what about the folks on chat
now you know what do you make of that
how will they react now they know the truth
many are aussies so they may just say "strewth!"
i would rather have parkinsons than alzheimers because
i'd rather spill my drink than forget where it was
but i say to anyone with any type of these ails
keep yer chin up and laugh it never fails

Trust Me

Trust Me,I know what I'm doing,
It's not just your heart I'm wooing
But your soul is so dear to Me,
I want you with Me for eternity.

Even when your days are very bad,
I'm saving you from being sad,
So do not be angry with Me,
You must trust in Me eternally.

I love all my children most dearly,
And in life I see you clearly,
That is why you are on the Earth,
It is a school and the grave is your birth.

'I knew you before you were born',
I would never leave you forlorn,
I know every hair on your head,
Death is not for you to dread

Life is through my precious Son,
A reward for when your day is done,
So know that this is my gift to you
So walk with Him your life through.

You are the one I love
This message I send comes from high above
I'm here when things get too tough
I'll guide you through when you have had enough
I'm here for you cause I care
You can't see me but i am always there

Like the warm winds that blow right here in heaven
My pains and my sins that I have are forgiven
The joy that I feel is what I call living
Have faith and believe cause belief is believing
Theres no need for grief cause there is no grieving
This place you can stay cause theres no need for leaving

We're caught in the swirl as the world keeps spinning
If we all knew life is all about the giving
So for now take care son and just worry about living

You make my head swell
you take the pain away.
Now i am able to fully
function as a independent
women with goals. I have
the good and bad with
you i don't know
what is worse for me.
Words do not come
easily out of my
mouth at times
things seem to be
more difficult for me.
Trying to decide
which one is for me.
Not knowing what
is to come if
the answer changes
for me or is changed.
For now i live
day to day waiting
to see what else
is gonna come my way.

Dreams are here
attainable and true.
Dreams are reality
if you pull them
to the other side.
Just keep the curtain
visible so you
know where the
line is drawn.

The words seep
into my mind
so they can be
put on paper
for all to see.
I write down my
thoughts to help
another deal with
situations in
their life.
If i find one
to help in my
lifetime i have
taken my gift
from God and
used it for
his purpose.
For i hope my
poetry gets in

Sitting here
not able
to stand.
Leg all
swollen
rubbing it
in my hand.
My body
feels so
very huge.
This illness
has gotten
to me i
just don't
know how
life is to
be so very
happy for me.
The pills i
take are so
many i just
wish i could
get through a
day without any.
I set these
feelings out
there for you
to see i just
don't want
the third degree.
Just picture how
you would feel
if you were me.

The warmth outside
swell as i hear
the birds as well.
The sky is filled
with colors of
FIRE just to let
you know spring
is coming for
everything will grow.
The cool night rain
gentle falls on my
window pane.
The heat is all
around as if FIRE
is in the ground.
The new plants are
coming soon i see
the beginning
of their bloom.
The sun is in the
sky beauty just
keeps flying on by.

Let me be your pillow
To feel your face
Let me be the air you breath
To feel you inside
Let me me your blanket to cover you all.
Let me be the sun to cover your face,
Let me be the water to feel your lips.
Let me be the soap to touch your skin.

Courage

Courage gives us strength to jump life's gaps,
But the unknown road to courage has no maps.
For most it stays locked away somewhere inside,
They never find that place where it does hide.

Courage is locked away and the key they never find,
Fear keeps them from the key in a corner of their mind.
The path of life has many a strange trail,
Lacking courage is why many of us fail.

I don't know where it is that courage has been stowed,
It kind of follows along emotions tough road,
Sometimes your conviction to anger it stops,
Other times right beside fear it does plop.

Courage takes no sides, no favorites it plays,
It can be impressive, or simple as a kiss some days.
But courage lays there inside of us all,
Waiting for each one of us to make the call.

When we summon up courage to come to our aid,
What most consider impossible we see get made.
Courage can be there in our darkest hours,
But we must call on courage and make it ours.

The simplest fact is that good or bad,
All those life changing days we've all had.
They put a marker in our path in life,
We hope the next life change brings us no strife.

A hand full of days change us, make us who we are,
Shape us into what we've become, put us on our par.
Make us what everyone sees, how we speak when we talk,
Put us on that path in life that we walk

They usually happen on big event days,
Getting married, and our first kid change our ways.
But they happen on days that seem like nothing that day,
Yet they can be so huge they take our breathe away.

The point is; courage is something that you can't buy,
It's inside us, find it or don't there is no try.
If we don't, if we are weak and we pale,
If we don't find our courage, then we fail!

Courage is required for everything we seek,
Even more to win Love, for when there we're weak;
The wind never catches in Love's sail.
If we don't find our courage, even at Love we fail!
