Would that I could Hope was a simple flower, humble child...
For me to nestle it, with tenderness...deep down your heart, my friend!
And if you're feeling blue...May Faith and Hope be your whole, innermost truth
So you can turn your sorrow...Into a brand-new tomorrow!

About this poem:
I've written the above lines nearly twenty years ago. I hope it can be a humble light for anybody who believes the Earth is a hundred of languages and countries, but apart from each people flags, nationality, uses, folklore, etc...each one of us, human beings on Earth are a single leaf of a vast, immense, and unique, common cosmic tree, fed by only one source of all kinds of Life : the eternal fusion of Micro and Macrocosmos into a powerful will, which can, if well-trained...move mountains!

Stop your hiding in the shadow
Come on out into earth’s bright light
Feel the warmth of her tender glow
And live however you feel right
Don’t allow any fear to confuse you
Keeping you quiet and standing still
With its power to close your mind
It can limit your voice, and your will
But, this life is our only opportunity
To make a difference where we are
And I for one don’t want to miss it
Even if it doesn’t make me a star
If your heart feels heavily burdened
By any message it needs to share
Then open all the flood gates possible
Releasing natural energy into the air
All God’s creation has a purpose
It feeds indiscriminately, ensuring life
So reach out just with your voice alone
What you say may help someone else survive

What are you going to do now old man, old man
when you look in the mirror, and the mirror doesn't lie
when the girls grin like hags and the barrels run dry
and ghosts walk at noon and there's blood in the sky
what are you going to do now
old man
old man
Well, I'll light the gas and take my love a cup of tea in bed,
I'll talk at length in coffee shops of books I haven't read,
I'll say a prayer for the roaring boys who are six feet under,
I'll praise the holly trinity,
and I'll fart against the thunder!

About this poem:
I wrote this from memory so may be slight errors!
I love the base harshness at the beginning, the gentle reality and acceptance of the middle and the defiance and humour of the last line.
I think the title of resolutions at 30 ( not 60, or 80 etc) is well thought out. In all the poem is a pleasant contrast and surprise.

For our days our filled
with technology.
From the television
From the computer
From the cell phone
From your friends.
You need to be able
T O S..T..O..P
and just let God in.
Let God permeate
your being.
Let H.I.M settle
In your heart
In your soul
showing you the way.
Your path is to go.
Can you push the
P...A...U...S...E
B..O..T..T..O..N
If only for a moment.
Just sit and listen.

It’s a lucky day to walk cross the street
On the other side there’s someone new to meet
Entering the store I pick up a very old book
Flip through the index and get a once over look
Focusing my attention, it should be an easy read
It spells out all kinds of risk, and how to succeed
So I take this guide to the nearest counter clerk
I’m eager to leave and return to my work
The day is still early and I have my own pages to write
Until the sun sinks low, and fades out of sight
I’ll then have time to open this new to me gem of thought
And I’ll carefully peruse its ideas that I’ve bought
I want to glean some wisdom from the author’s own words
I’m looking for knowledge I’ve never before heard
If I’ve made a good buy I’ll find the material I’m after
And I’ll highlight all the best lines in each chapter
Then by the end, if my mind is struck by an epiphany
The hours I've spent reading will have been worth it to me

Wondering down life's path through streets uncertainty
Searching for love in a world of conditions
Whether missing a girl that captured your heart
Or in a bad place as of regets from the past
Don't be led to believe
that success is impossible to achieve
These streets are without a map
You must navigate avoiding traps
Dead ends will encumber your journey
Think what you want and you'll begin learning
That our paths are not encumbered at all
Just tests to enlighten our souls
This man is learning fast
Thoughts become things we make our own past....

Quiet and thoughtful
I gaze out the window...
watching time pass over me.
Searching for answers
I might never find...
afloat in a deep azure sea.
Climbing the hillsides
Exploring the crannies
Roaming through meadows of thought,
Learning by living
Living by loving
And doing the things that I ought.

I can teach you a dance of ten steps
Each a work of art on its very own
This dance guarantees perks and peps
In every heart once it is known
Step One: Close your eyes forget your stress
Step Two: Make a rhythm in the heart
Step Three: Think "I am more than highly bless"
Step Four: Feel the beats as they start
Step Five: Rock your body, come on! Let it flow
Step Six: Rock you body to the beat don't stop
Step Seven: Jump if want, twirl or hop just let go
Step Eight: Keep going! You are the cream of the crop
Step Nine: Keep the music in you heart the rhythm on your toes
Step Ten: It is time to start all over again my friend
Dance out stress, problems, false friends and foes
Dance my favorite dance that will never end.
As you Dance remember me across the seas
Dancing with you to a rhythm only you and I know
Not on our Ps and Qs but on our As and Bs
We dancing the Ten Step Dance and Letting it all Go

Each day i open
my eyes it is as
if you breathed
life into me to
walk that mile.
Painting that
picture you have
for my life.
I just know that
i can go for miles
to come all i have
to do is reach to
the picture.
Following my spirit
of faith.
You lift me up each
and every day.
I keep my aim upon you.

We are all Light of the Light....Anger, Hate, Greed, Selfishness, Repression those things the Black Holes to our Light. Humanity is the gift, to Live this life, is for another existence in Time and Space, a Capability, if Learned and Understood to exist in both. To be in the Human form and able to traverse as of the Light. It is not an easy task in this time we are born, But remember the greatest rewards are earned hard thereby appreciated the most.
