A Christmas Miracle

A Christmas Miracle

It was six months ago, and a day,
when her husband passed away.
The doctors said there's no more to do,
so she quit her job to help him through.

The child was sleeping when his father died,
to tell her son, oh, how she tried.
The little boy cried that night,
full of fear, full of fright.

And on that night she lost her faith,
never to believe in the "Pearly Gate."
She made a vow to never pray,
it meant nothing now, anyway.

At the funeral, he could only stare,
wishing that his dad were there.
Tears were filling people's eyes,
saddened by the young boy's cries.

As the months went by, things got rough,
she went back to work, but it wasn't enough.
With no food, no money, and bills to pay,
she just couldn't bring herself to pray.

Before she knew it, it was Christmastime,
and she wasn't able to save a dime.
She felt so bad that she had no tree,
for all her son's friends to see.

On Christmas Eve, they slept together;
she promised her son, she'd be there forever.
He asked her if Santa was coming tonight.
she whispered no, with tears in sight.

Her son would sulk; it wasn't fair;
she hated to see him in despair.
She wanted to give her son some joy,
oh, how she wished she had a toy.

Then:

The mother got to her knees to pray,
asking the Lord to hear her say.
She asked for help to return a smile,
to the face of her little child.

On Christmas morning, the boy was screaming;
she saw his eyes were wide and gleaming.
At the door were games, toys, even a bike,
and a card that said, "For the tyke."

With a great big smile and eyes so bright,
he kissed his mom as he held her tight.
She learned that a charity heard of her plight,
and frantically scrambled through the night.

Then again:

The mother got to her knees to pray,
thanking the Lord for hearing her say.
She thanked the Lord for returning a smile,
to the face of her little child.

The Creation of Birth

The Creation of Birth!

Space!

Voided and replaced,

with the taste for life.

Thirsts quenched through creation;

Being human,

because God is within you.

Mankind is nothing like being a kind man;

ponder that one! They are opposites;

just like the moon and the sun,

but yet still related.

Time stamped and perforated,

gene’s become the name when isolated.

Transferred from one hand to another,

as if con?scated

and removed from thought.

To operate!

The door must be opened;

without warning!

Love is a patchwork of lace without the cording;

frayed,

stained,

one of a kind.

A New Rule

It is the rule with drunkards to fall upon each other,
to quarrel, become violent, and make a scene.
The lover is even worse than a drunkard.
I will tell you what love is: to enter a mine of gold.
And what is that gold?

The lover is a king above all kings,
unafraid of death, not at all interested in a golden crown.
The dervish has a pearl concealed under his patched cloak.
Why should he go begging door to door?
Last night that moon came along,
drunk, dropping clothes in the street.
"Get up," I told my heart, "Give the soul a glass of wine.
The moment has come to join the nightingale in the garden,
to taste sugar with the soul-parrot."

I have fallen, with my heart shattered -
where else but on your path? And I
broke your bowl, drunk, my idol, so drunk,
don't let me be harmed, take my hand.
A new rule, a new law has been born:
break all the glasses and fall toward the glassblower.

Wise woman

As beauty becomes intellect..
My appearance has shadowed the flow of change for no longer will I be a mere common name. Life is the embodiment of my thoughts so subconsciously I'm found not lost. Lost in the demands of the brain washing segment like; " I'm not pretty enough, I should change the color of my pigment." I've realized the wrong of my path. My salvation arrived and in it's presence I laughed. This smile now resembles knowledge I've attained. Pain, sorrow and despair shaped me. Negativity waved me but I learned from every battle so wisdom awakened me. Before you now, I stand... Proud, Scarred....Triumphant over this land. Eve's Descendant, wiser than man...

The Masterpiece

No genius could have conceived you creation
Compass air, sky sea or land and nothing to you correspond
Physically weaker but superior to your companion man
You are the force behind his efforts and aspiration
For when he has acquired honor, fortune and acclaim
All is vain if he has no woman with whom to share the same
When to you charm and beauty he cannot respond
Then despair set in knowing he is a living dead man
And when the mighty men of this earth boast and grow bold
Gently you remind " it was I your early years did mold"
The proud declared to the world that I am the greatest
You smirked and declared I am better than you
Have you forgotten I nursed you on my breasts
Designed with such beauty and grace
Bearer of all that comprises the human race
Many the tyrant that rule with force and might
You in turn rule with you delights
Though tough and ever so ruthless among men
Yet ever so gentle and docile when courting your smile
For that which is taken by might and power
Pale in comparison to what you freely give
What can be compared to the charm of you smile
That make a man’s heart beat so erratic and wild
And oh how the pulses race
As those glorious moments with you anticipate
Praise be to the one that did you design
On earth there is not another of your kind

Commonalities

Tracy Chapman says it all so well
- all that you have is your soul -
the differences we share are really
?our similarities
?all based on common experiences as humans
?worked out in different ways?
and among those shared knowings
?our value systems lie?
and in those values
?common ground
- all that you have is your soul -
everything else is extraneous
?pleasurable and often
?inconsistent
?with the base values we say we hold dear?
tell me,
?what are they and why
?consensus omnium,?
is it possible
?considering that
- all we have is our souls -

Stay Happy

The day may be bright
Yet you are cold and wet
Strong hands may protect you
But you still might cower and fret

The room may be full of treasures
Yet you are somehow in want
And what about being at the back
When you thought you stood in front

But we could still win, you know
If and only if we smile through it all
Never stop for once to believe
Even when faced with a rigid wall

That’s the spirit to live
To win and to stay truly happy
Our world is best served
If we cease to make worrying a hobby

You Get Under My Skin

I feel your desire
and your beguiling emotions
they’re so longingly fluid
and sink so deep

With one swift touch
of your agile fingers
sending me powerful vibes
without need of a speech

Under my delicate skin
is where you oft get
a beat from my heart
that throbs inside your head

There to possess
and no one else dare
cross the line that's off limits
trespassers take care

Savoring each and every minute
of this time in our lives
as sands through the hour glass
fall like stars from night skies

Our magic is our madness
we’re spellbound to believe
that our bond is unbreakable
and this is the way it should be

Together we’ll grow closer
in a world wherein we too
reach beyond our imaginations
and work to make sure
all our dreams do come true

MiStAkEs

i seen more battles then a general at war
yet i have no regrets this you can be sure
my flaws come around like a ferris wheel
but my mistakes are what makes me real
im best friends with misfortune
sometimes its torute
its like trying to survive without water
but you cant accomplish great things without error
so you have to be cleaver
even if its unfortunate its still important
so dont blow this out of proportion
i bear the weight of a trillion tears
so many i havent cryed in years
but do you think this tribulation
will lead me to suffaction
because i can feel the walls closing in
im almost defeated withen and were just about to begin
but i must search my soul for inner strenght
no matter the pressure ill never be bent
because i dont give in to weakness
although my heart is in peices
i came up with a new thesis
because thats what fighters do
now its time to break through
but let me tell you
for every war theirs a story
just like every battle has its glory
only one thing is gaurentted to change
this might seem strange
but win or loose your stronger then before
and now its time to take what you learned out the door

Roll call

Everybody does there role
Just to climb the totem pole
You played the part of the b*tch
You run your mouth and always snitch
Born to bite gonna make it itch
Your main priority is to become rich

Get in line - this is the roll call
You will loose your place if u slip and fall
Cut you down to size if your feeling tall
Ya Beter keep your eye on the ball
Don't slip up and fall
Or your back will be against the wall
Your engines running smoking hot
Something's are never forgot
Give a little they will take a lot
Leave you there to rot
They took their shot
missed the spot
They think they got me I think not
