MANDELA - MAN OF GREATNESS

may you rest in peace, man of great purpose
you gathered all the stones of hatred
and piled them away, far away
where no one can throw it no more
with your unwavering strength and drive
you thwarted all the injustices of the world
gone wild..very few dared done before
your hopes, dreams, and aspirations
bigger than life and the world itself
even in the face of death you never gave up
nor retreated...instead...
you withstood all the winds of anger and hatred
and made humanity a beneficiary for
love, equality and forgiveness
your resilience and direction unbroken
your passion for justice and freedom unbent
Madiba, Mandela, you are an epitome of greatness
this world has ever known, may your light shines
bright forever in the hearts and minds of all men

You will never be forgotten.

About this poem:
For a very great man, so the world would learn...Unity can be achieved with patience and forgiveness...resilience and strength...sans blood shed....and won....30 something years in prison..only to come out with more potent on his drive for what he believed in...the exaltation of justice and equality among men regardless of the colors of the skin. We are all one and the same...Equal no more no less.

Thank you all for your reads..

MANDELA -THE WORLD IS GREAT BECAUSE OF YOU

This world has not lost but gained
For one life, a momentum
Of love, equality, justice, and freedom
That lives forever in the hearts of all men
In a village of Quno hails the man
That color blinded the world of our skin
White, black, yellow, green or brown
He made it all look one and the same
For underneath of which does reside
An amassed sense of glory and pride
And it surpasses the wind and clouds
Soaring like an eagle unbound
And the angels sang in unison
HALLELUJAH. ...
For man finally saw and learn
No need to segregate nor separate
But join our hands and hold tight
Commit ourselves to a higher level
Where hatred, injustice, inequality,
Greed, and all forces of inhumanity is repelled
For his name that excelled it all
Is Madiba-Nelson Rohololo Mandela
A man crowned with honor, to stay calm
And stayed true to what he believed in
Fought with patience and discipline
Even amazingly, 27 years in prison
He embodied remarkable perseverance
Never succumbed to anger or violence
Instead, calmness and rivers of patience
And so the world experienced
This formidable lesson and convictions
Of forgiveness and reconciliation
From a man whose value for independence
Is second to none.

And so the battle is not only won
But that the world's ignorance is expunged
And humanity is forever changed.

Forward love, passion and freedom.

Amen. In our hearts and our minds
He lives, never to be forgotten.

For even our children's children's
And billions more to come
Will reap this astronomical benefits
The destiny of living in peace
regardless of color, regardless of origin
We are one and the same.

EQUAL AND FREE.

if only she knows

Lost yet again
on your quest for peace
but undaunted as you unleash
your strength into the wind
and although the shadow
seems to mask your fear
caged in the stillness of the night
your dream is holding you up high
even in the threshold of defeat
and as you tread the ways
of redemption
your undiminished hope
hanging on your shoulder
has escaped from your thoughts
just for tonight, yes
at this moment
you just want to be a kid
innocent and playful
enjoy the touch of your feet
running down, jumping
upon this empty lustrous field
don't want to do anything
just lie down and enjoy the peace
of being alone,
thinking and remembering
those innocent hugs
and kisses, still seeking
thinking what might have been
had you stayed as she wanted
but it was never your choice
as you were called and be obliged
to be on the front line
and when the sun comes up
those thoughts will yet again
be neatly tucked away
hoping that once in a while
she remembers you...if only
she knows, you want to live
because of her...go home
alive and whole..

if only she knows.

your quest

gold hidden in the rugged earth
upon which lay your quest
yet murky and turbid is the dew
that is harvested in a cup of sand
your weakness never sets
over the parch and scorching heat
nor will your strength
ever laid to rest
until you will run out
of your sweats
you will want to know
deep within your heart
why all this land
is covered with blood
and yet the world lay witness
and mightily unconcerned
to its naked plight

your mind will never fathom
why the rift is burning strong
so you will keep on digging
until you reach the bottom
hoping it will lay bare
all the reasons,
that this blood covered land
is a conflict no more
in the mighty difference
of white and black color
but the gap of those
who have and who don't

the question is...will man ever learn
how to vanish indifference?
give those that have not
and even out the earth's wealth
so revolt will not explode?

perhaps nobody really cares...
you are alone, abandoned
in this quest...buried
in a drifting sand
stained with ruthlessness
by the greed of human hand
glued forever
in human blood.

Programmed

Using a computer as an analogy for our brain and software as our emotions. Like computers the human brain, personal characters and traits are programmed into us at the developing age of our childhood. So our life experiences governs who we are? Our emotions, which we would have experience numerous amount of times, becomes so natural like memories recalled, picture in our mind. Hence we call it software that have been programmed into our day to day life and when situations arises, these emotions are triggered by touch or by sight, mixing the chemicals in our brain to suit that specific moment, encrypted functions within a software when double clicked, Used when the time is right. So the feeling we feel sometimes hard to control, but why control something that comes naturally? Just be aware and considerate, common decency, that is all. But in today's capitalist world, where greed and corruptions, now booms and thrive, thus Money equals Stability hence equals Happiness but love and loyalty forgotten, the fittest will survive. Over populated with finite resources, poverty in socialist and communist nations, will force you to fight, collectivism will force you to cheat or else you and your family will die. But for the ones who live in Free Market societies, we compete to be better, not for our community but yet for ourselves, back stabbing one another, an individualist insight. Hofstede and Porter, Plato and Schwartz, analysed cross cultural societies but was limited by the technology of their time. Our future holds the answer to why people cheat, lie and criticize, the things or people they don't know, does it gives them pride? Maybe their character is flawed or a mistake of culture, a by product of the changing times? We will never know, for their perspective of the world, their values and norms, their wrong and their right, we will never see the world through their eyes. I have tasted the bitterness of poverty, my mother and I. A single mother in a foreign country escaping war, abuse and poverty. From rag to riches we did survive, hence my programming when I see poverty, inequality, abuse of simple human rights, tears flows from my eyes, for I imagine the hunger and sourness, of past memories experienced, my mother and I. I now understand the difficulty of raising a man in a foreign society of racist and red necks, teasing and calling us names. But how to blame someone who just don't know and refuse to understand, ignore them I guess, pretend they're insane.

Programmed #2

'Ignorant is Bliss' for whom don't know how to change, what you give is what you get, starting something or starting on someone because you don't like them and barely know them for your selfish entertainment, laughing at other peoples misery or clumsiness yet won't laugh at ourselves for no one wants to hear they're wrong nor see their errors. Greed, selfishness, love, care, hatred etc. these are our programs. Be aware of not just what is in front of you but things and people that's around you, our skin might be different, our language not the same, but we bleed the same colour, we are all humankind in Darwinism, coming from the earth, coming from the sand, yet peace only comes with unity, when differences are erased and we see each other, as one and the same. Creatures of emotions, feeling love and pain, angels and demons, battling God and the Devil, twisted little game.

Good dreams to share

And then our romance was off to a start. you've not only captured my imagination, but you captured my heart. We dined with low lights, soft music, and romance in the air, I languished in your beauty and couldn't help but stare, And then that night, that God sent night, that made you apart of me, and I apart of you! That was the night, our special night;we made love the whole night through, and ever since that day we met by chance. Our love has become a Fairy Tale Romance I became your Knight in Shinning Armour, and you my Lady Fair, and we vowed until the end of forever, our lives together we will share. A moment in time, that could never be, our eyes told a story of romance in that brief glance we may have share a daydream, but we'll never finish the dance.
Click to learn more...I'll never hold your hand or stroke your hair, I'll never be able to whisper how much I care Our worlds are far apart and will not aways be so.and what I secretly feel, you will never know!

FOR ALL WAR VETS, TO WHOM MY FREEDOM IS OWED

Please go and rest
my friend, my hero
dream of a land and lea
mountains, and rivers,
ocean, lakes, placid and serene
as once your youth was
before the momentum
of brainwashing and believing
in your innocence
how I will live free
under the serene and calm
swaying of the trees,
leaves fluttering in the winds ..
a music to my freedom.

Go and rest your weary soul...
remember I am with you all the way
to this cause...
I can't do it all
by myself
and while tears are yet pouring
for a cause I never knew
nor understood
until now,
with the torments of
your heart and soul
left among the pains
among the sorrows
far deeper
than love can cause
in the jungle, was I to know?
was I to be told?
that my freedom
was the very depth of your
sufferings?
so that my children
and their children's children
and billions more to come
can really be free?
Rest, oh thy heart that
has been torn
body that was broken
will that was bent
and a soul that is restless.

Rest and I will pray for you
as all of those who gave
their innocence and youth
their strength and hopes
and yet neglected, misguided
misunderstood, left for no good
the least I can do
for right now.

Rest..I am with you.

God bless.

About this poem:
I am still crying for my friend RHR and all those who are now misguided and misunderstood, helpless living in a world that can't be fathomed. Deep down is a curse only God can heal.

For the veterans who are now living in oblivion. Not because of lack of support from the government but the drugs they used to numb them against the terrors and brutalities of war render them conditioned with an affliction only miracle can cure.

Singapore Armed Forces

First line of defence,
Facing any kind of threat,
Best type of offense,
Sending fighter jets!

We don't need nuclear,
Not even a stealth sniper,
We got you on radar,
Time to put it to an end.

Army, Air Force and Navy,
We will bring it to the Enemy,
Nobody going to hurt my country,
Don't you even think or try!

micks challange wave of green

An ancient story
from the emerald isle
the jewel of every
Irish heart treasured
unwrapping it's beauty
waves of green
descent a
world over
spilling onto
the streets
like a tidal wave

Core of our ancestors
plucking them straight
from the ground
a little scarce
this year
gathering myself
a right
glorious bunch

Taking them home
a feeling
of great pride
as I wash them clean
plucking dead
ones out
putting the cleaned shamrocks
in a glass
as taught down
from my guardian parents

Come our saints day
I will have a massive
great bunch
knowing i could
sell a big chunk
to a few friend smiling
with spare ones
left at home
depending on
the demand
laughing out loud

With reverence
to our great
Saint Patrick
on our day
of green
who banished
the serpents
from our soil

His story
is truly magical
amongst the Irish
sparkling shamrocks
the blessed trinity
a tale of lore
he appeared
in Tir Na Og
meaning in English
land of forever young

Our true Irish flag
is the harp and shamrock
dating back to the Fianna
warriors of a king
he is Paddy
and i am one
very proud patron

On this wave
of green rises
for our great Saint
raising my glass
three cheers
drowning Paddies shamrock
in good style
hail glorious
Saint Patrick
