dance for me

On the stage she stands
Her naked curves on display
Spining polvolting
She caresses her pole tight
Legs wrapped hanging

Hair touching the floor her bossoms hanging displyed for her ordiance
Cheer shouts for more
Money falling from the air
She displys her angelic curves gyrating the music blasts
Sensual slow
The ordiance on heat beging for more

Her slow rotations her bossoms and sweet lips her muff defying gravityshe give them plenty to see
The voyouer her ordience begging for more
One last twirl she gathers her wod of notes her payment paid in full

A Nightmare on Fair Street

One Two
Cummins is coming for you
Three Four
Try to close the doors
Five Six
Grab your tape measure
Seven Eight
Going to have to work real late
Nine Ten
Never sleep again

Vendors' Rat Race

The wheels turn and spin
See them go round and round
They wear a silly plastic grin
From sun up to sun down with noses pointed to the ground

Eyes turned upward
To catch a sign of curiosity
From those that walk in a perfumed cloud
Of Animosity

Three for twenty,
Two for a hundred
This their song
This their reality
All day long

Sun has set
See how the wheels still turn
Slowly now with thoughts of needs unmet
And little hearts that for a treat do yearn

Boxes come out
The goods go in
And away with a shout
Tomorrow's another day...
Yet still with the plastic grin.

Things Heard At Work

Bull@#$%!!
Didn't Al tell you how to do that?
If you come back late from break I'm writing you up
You won't get hired on here if you don't eat Johnson's brats.
I don't need the exercise, so enough with the burning holes.
Why did you do that?
We'll come to you either way if you are or are not hired on
Why did you take so long to clean those windows?
I want to know who was the one that knocked my files all over!
They said no cheese! Go in the back and clean up!
I can hear those kids all the way in my office!
I'm telling the principal on you!
Did you steal my scanner?
If you don't start picking 9 lines an hour you'll be fired!
Moon lost a finger.
Do you like your job?
We need more pans!
Does anyone have any questions?
Work safe and don't get run over.
You're not allowed to stand around, stay busy!
I got goosed with a metal rod, what should I do?
Do you take a shower every day?
Did you use the n word?
Are you consistent with discipline?

About this poem:
Just some of the many things I have heard people say to me at different jobs I have had. From detassling corn, Hardee's cook, panwasher, teacher, cheese maker, freezer shipper, and my last job of muffler making. Needless to say, it's been painful!

Just Another Day

Getting Up
It's 5 am on the clock
Taking my shower
Then it's time to towel me off
Getting my lunch ready
More water and pop at the end of my day to reward me
There some beef sticks and garlic chips
There were some Ritz crackers and some cheese spread and olives
There was some bagels and onion and chive cream cheese
An occasional banana or two
Eat a bowl of cereal
Watch some taped shows
Americas Got Talent, What Would You Do?, Judge Judy, Looney Tunes
Drive for 21.5 miles
Singing my songs
The favorite part of my day
Waiting for 15 minutes to walk into work
Reading Dubuque's Telegraph Herald
Punching in
Minds in a fog
Getting yelled at
Screwing up
Getting made fun of by the boss
Feeling like hell
Going on break at 9:15 am
Going on break again at 12:30 pm
Only two more hours
Punching Out at 3 pm
I'm free!
I'm going home!
I'm going to sing in my car and drink Mountain Dew!
I'm happy now!

About this poem:
Had to work again on Saturday. They made us come in late which really sucks. I am used to leaving at 1 pm, and once got to leave at 10 am, that was neat. They have an old Rick Dees Top 40 countdown on from 7 am to 11 am. I listen to that on my first break. One song was Bryan Adams Summer of 69 from 1985.

Rome Wasn't Built in a Day!

My thoughts are keenly focused
Then suddenly they’re in overdrive
I can’t maintain a targets clear aim
When feelings roughly push me aside

Doggedly I go through the motions
Getting my work ready on my desk
While struggling with all my emotions
I’m thinking about him instead!

He had a mysterious hold on me
That I thought would ease over time
But the harder I try to fiercely resist
I’m compelled to keep looking behind

This is so damned ridiculous!!!
And it’s making me a little bit crazy!
Everything could’ve already been done
If that’s what he’d wanted from me

I’m not the one who gave up the goal
Doubting, and dropping the ball
He stopped playing, let me know that he quit
At least this is what, and how I recall

I’m not a sucker for punishment
So I took my licks and I left
But ever since then I’ve been haunted
By the scenarios deep in my head

I know better than to wish for what’s not
So I blocked his memory from my vision
But I fear this personal battle's been lost
And we’re headed for a painful collision

Or maybe he and I were just a fantasy
There was no way we’d ever get together
And now it’s time for me to forget the past
Perhaps that will make me feel better!

Or maybe, just maybe
I’ll keep sticking to my guns
Because Rome wasn’t built in a day
And once he sees that I really mean business
He’ll relent and finally give me my way

One can still pray...

Me and my antagonist... protagonist... you never know with relationships, intentions are real, masks conceal, at the end of the day we have to see it both ways to reach an agreeable deal...

What Went Wrong?

YES
I WANTED EVERYTHING
YOU SHOWED ME…

And
I BELIEVED IT
Was within my {{{grasp}}}

My
“PERMANENT TOTAL SUBMISSION”
Is what you demanded

While
I did EVERYTHING
You “OFFICIALLY” asked

At first…

You found me
Interesting
To your liking
Overlooking what was wrong
Focusing instead
On what you could make right
Then
You encountered my nature
And
You instinctively knew…
WE…
…would eventually FIGHT

Realistically
There was “no way around it”
When our ‘risk vs. benefit battle’ finally began
Therefore
No one could have predicted the fallout
From the chemical dependent
Part of the plan

Life has its own way to unfold
And everybody knows
We can’t… Push, Pull, or Shove
A square peg into a round hole

Equally
We’re all part of the hunt…

For SECURITY

Or
We’re along for the ride

So
When choosing travel partners
To share in the journey
We do so carefully
Or pay an ultimate price

Infatuation
And
Love
Can weaken our defenses
Physical attractions
And
Passions
Can be hard to control
But
If
Unhealthy obsessions
Become part of these equations
Unpredictable inclinations
Can unwittingly take hold

So
Knowing
What to hold on too
And better yet
When to let go
There’s not much
Standing in the way of progress
Not even between us
If we move slow

I could see
What you were up too
When you first addressed me
Like no other before
And
Since our beginning
There’s been a few endings
But all things considered

NOW I WANT MORE!!!

Shadows of the Heart!

Shadows of the Heart!

My heart quivered, did she see me?

I walked amongst the mist of the early morning dew

And as I walk I could see a dreamy shadowed figure in it’s mist

A young maiden in a gossamer gown strolling in the early morning light

Her voluptuous curved youthful being, not hidden by the early mornings rays but silhouetted and etched within my heart!

A sheen body of ecstasy with promises of such elegant delight

Her very steps swayed in musical rapture as she glided across the mist covered forest floor

The musical sounds of nature awakening, soft morning breezes caressed her ever flowing hair

And then like a virgin doe she vanished into the mist

I searched and searched but I could no longer find the shadow of my heart

For like a shadow she disappeared … where can she be?

Please make my misty dream come true and fill the shadow of my empty heart with you!

A Job

I'm back at that job again
The one I had from May 13, 2007
To December 18, 2008
It still scares the hell out of me
I worked in one area for Monday and Tuesday
I was put in a less scary area for Wednsday thru Saturday
The job is confusing
I can't figure it out
I worked it before
Spent one year and two months
I'm no further ahead than I was then
I go there feeling like a schmuck
Because I am in desperate need of some bucks
Can't get that fear out of my soul
Feels like my mind's in a blender and my heart has a hole
Why didn't I tough it out when I was a teacher
The place reeks of death and I can't shake that doomed feeling
I at least get off at 3:30 P.M.
For now at least
I know I should be appreciative that I at least have a job
And I do appreciate that I have money coming back again
I just wish I wasn't working for a buck less an hour
Than I did in 2007

About this poem:
Regretting my job decisions I have made in my life. I think really the thing that haunts me most is my acute shyness around people. It has plaqued me my entire life. I am jealous of people who have social skills and smarts with tools.

The Master Carpenter

Embedded image from another site

The carpenter went out into the woods
he was looking for a very special tree
not quite sure what he wanted he wandered
checking out various types shaking his head
Embedded image from another site

deeper and deeper until in a sunny clearing
he saw just the one this would make the frame
chopping it down then into different lengths
he carted it back piece by piece to the valley
Embedded image from another site

a sturdy log cabin with handcrafted furniture
only a master carpenter can achieve this detail
each sculptured piece was placed by his hand
making a thing of beauty that blended in well
Embedded image from another site

from far and wide they came to buy his furniture
each intricate piece carved to fit and enhance
a happy man this carpenter living contentedly
in the woods doing what he loved best of all
