I have cut across border,
I have traveled a lot,
And with ten humble poems
I have passed Rubicon.
Tucked nicely in corner
Of the Poets' Abode,
I have placed them for comments,
Always lavish and prone.
In remarks you would make
And in comments austere,
You are driving to point
In a style most sincere.
I am placed at your mercy
Awaiting my lot.
Here's to my fellow poets,
Here's to our great goal!

Hangin' out on the corner is,
A fine pastime that educates.
With poems from all walks of life,
It sometimes even leads to dates.
The subjects too are varied wide,
From love to hate and all between.
From flow'rs and trees to cars and boats,
It really is a happ'nin' scene.
It teaches and it entertains,
From minds and hearts around the globe.
With worlds of words that cross the seas,
To hit you in the frontal lobe.
Community, comraderie,
With comments kind in thoughtful prose.
Emoticons add style and flash,
Usually add some of those.
Sometimes our tears are brought to eyes,
From verses touching from the heart.
And others make us laugh out loud,
With silly lines from some ol' fart.

I am complexed, I am multi-faceted. You are perplexed by my constant change. I don't stress you, not my intent; lots of emotions, i must vent. I am a woman, that's just me, in every situation, we act differently. Sometimes iam happy, my feelings good. At times iam grouchy, not in the mood. That's just me, it's who i am, uni-que personality, I am woman!

The Poet's Corner keeps me here,
Though I have met my very dear.
I met her on this site you see,
It holds a special charm for me.
She read my verse, it touched her mind,
And through this means my heart did find.
To think that from my clumsy rhyme,
A love was formed to last all time.
Connecting Singles I must say,
Has lived up to its name each day.
I hope you all will find your one,
And until then at least have fun.

When "I" am god, so "I" need none. "I" live by the sword and rule by the gun. When love is passed, my feelings are numb. My neighbour is outcasted, everyone is "soooo-dumb!" When "I" now first, in the dictionary. When everyone is cursed, and the world "needs me". When dad and mom, they now obey me. Demanding glory and honour, "I" feel like almighty. When my heart is cynicial, and arrogant in-tone. Acting as the "immortals", ready for "my" throne. Is this you above? Here's afool's advice: you're void of love; that's the anti-christ!

About this poem:
i is the pride word. it is the suttle word of the devil, that really constitutes pride. pride is the false self! it's purpose is to be like a god!

Boom! a tower on fire! Boom boom, plane hits another! Looking in shock and disbelief, anger sadness anguish grief. Loss of so many souls, thousands the death toll. But who caused such pain? Egos enflamed for political gains. Religious and political ideology, middle/east rhetoric western democracy. Wars with unknown directions, propaganda fed to nations. Talk of missiles of mass/distruction. America with it's burning bush, bin laden fighting from ancient cush. But does this really matter; to the man in the street? Issues of bread and butter, hungry souls, no food to eat. We are now so weiry, we need a long break. God lend us a hand, no more, we can't take!

Nice to see you here
Iam happy to see you here
till yesterday, you were a stranger to me
but today you are precious to me
I have been searching everywhere for love and friendship
mean while all this time, you have been so close to me
why should I worry about the dark stormy clouds
when you are like the rays of the sun to me
Come sit and drink something with me
I will share my story with you and you share yours with me
where are you from and what you do is not important
Iam just happy for the simple fact that you are here with me
Life is not always easy, that much I know
you have also been through a lot, that much I know
but you dont have to be a lone traveller in the journey of life
thats why I say that Iam happy that you are with me
It does not matter what you wear
it also does not matter how rich or poor you are
if you are a cleaner or a professor
I accept you the way you are
some moments can be worth a lifetime
friendship and love is not a crime
so stop wandering aruond and come home
beacuse Iam always happy to have you next to me.

Nitter, natter, nitter, natter
The world wide web is awake with chatter
Insomniacs, lonely hearts,
Looking to make friends
some, as mad as a hatter!
Strangers, talk for hours,
Whiling the night away
Whatever the topic, they go on and on
till night time, soon becomes day
WWW the world wide web
Opens up avenues and doors
New acquaintances, friends that become lovers
Communications, like never before
We can hide behind our PC,
Build a picture of the somebody, we may be
The person on the other end, truly cannot see
Who you are and what you do
But are happy to share some time with you
It’s a little sad, to communicate this way,
But some have no choice
Timid, shy, Introverted or lonely,
In public, they may not have a voice have a voice
On the web they become new persona
Flirtatious, outgoing, no longer the loner
Meeting people, if only on line
As long as they stay safe, that is just fine
Tired fingers do the walking,
Hours upon hours of endless talking
The keyboard in overdrive, your hard drive whirring
Do you really know the person,
To whom your dreams, you are sharing?
Some become friends; you get to know quite well
Will one become a special friend? Only time will tell!
To all on CS, whatever your quest
I bid you all a Big hello, and wish you All the best!!

You want my trust, but how could i? You are but a stranger. Yes i have known you many years, but its what you told me, that gave me my image of you. Do i really know the sky? even though it always in my eye. Come on, you are flesh, with passions and lust. When i solve the mysteries of the sky, you are next, with your lies, and trust.

I don’t know you, you don’t know me, just a picture and some choice words for all those singles in the world to see
Peoples time is money on that we can all agree so thirty seconds of there life is all that they can spend on me
In that thirty seconds how on earth can we portray all the feelings that we carry way down inside us every day
Perhaps by looking at your photo and staring at your eyes they can sense the hurt your hiding from the day your grandma died
If there really good at reading they can see between the lines just how much love you’ve given others in your time
We want to show are feelings so in the words we write we try but every day the inbox is empty and it makes you want to cry
Most of us are guilty of this dating cardinal sin but we judge the profiles picture before we even begin
If only we could take a picture of our soul and post it in this place then the world would see the real you and not just another face
But loneliness is awful so we choose to take the chance that by leaving our selves open someone will request that we dance
