Take a moment to breathe, trying not to scream. But you're dying and I can't save you. Doing everything I can, trying not to let go of your hand. But I can't seem to save you. As your life leaves from your eyes, I see and can only hope I tried...
What am I supposed to do? Sit around and wait for it too. You're dead, and now its over. Holding on to your favorite object, close to my heart and I won't drop it. You're so far gone and I'm alone...
Some people call it heaven, some call it a rainbow bridge. I just want to know where the pain ends. Where did it all began? Where is my most trusted friend? Who's going to keep me from falling under?
Take a breath to heal my wounds. Someday again I'll see you. Peaceful.
Take a breath to keep myself, from going to a path of hell. I can only hope I'll see you somewhere. If only I knew which one of us is there...

I honestly don't know from whence I appeared,
Just a lost soul from a crossroad
that found himself here,
So pull up your barstools and tip up your beers,
There's noone that knows you here,
Noone that cares,
It's the wrong time for a long rhyme,
I'll keep my lines short,
The price of this life seems too much to afford,
With too much to do seems I'm screwed cross the board,
And unfinished business just steers me off course,
So I sing of a few things I need off my chest,
We take drugs we make love wake up with regrets,
Its a hard write of a hard life but thats just the deal,
We're all grasping and searching for something that's real...

"Die!"...,
I scream my battle cry,
Letting arrows fly,
Three no longer breathe,
Bullseye...,
Too close now for bow,
I brandish my spear,
Two more down that came too near,
A man without fear,
I pull my sword,
Mouthing a prayer to the Lords of War,
Six quick slices and dices,
Six men sigh as they die,
The vultures and wolves will feast tonight,
I wipe my trusty blade and say,
"Ahhh...Today was a bloody good day..."

Serene she appears on outward glance,
I've seen her lost in frozen stare,
Past demons strain her countenance,
A hurt so deep...her heart not there.
That surface I probed with warm caress,
While in retreat her anger vent,
Lest I usurp forbidden distress,
No hardened sledge could ever dent.
Episodic flashbacks of lonely grief,
A young girls teardrops long since dried,
Her childhood stolen by demonic thief,
Tears lost in exile....yearning to be cried !

Just another day
I woke up and looked around
finding myself
in the classifieds lost and found..
You had slipped away
just in case I took a peek
thinking maybe you
were playing hide and seek...
Today is just another day
reaching highs and the low
the wind will still blow
and the water will still flow...
For another day to start
this one must end
although my heart is aching
I know somehow it will mend...
Tired of being turned around
lost and found
why do you care
you are never there...
Anyway,
today is just another day
out of mind and out of sight
don't tell me it's gonna be alright...
Anyway,
you just try and hold on
tomorrow's another day...

In the dark
The shadows roam
The wicked the cruel
The boggy men
Dark shadows
They dash in gloom
Lurking in darkness breath
Ice cold chill
They wait sharp teeth
Fangs deep
They prowl
They creep
The vulonable the weak
The lone
Thier victom

Last night saw lights in the sky
Were Angels falling from Heaven
Rain fell steadily onto the ground
The tears of those left grieving
Lightning split the sky in twain
God’s voice roared like thunder
While down below the humans cowed
Consequences beyond comprehension
Battle raged between good and evil
Forwards and backwards swung the tide
End of day the war was won
Cast in Hell’s fiery furnace
Still they try to rise from deep
Deception their stock in trade
Ever watchful, ever wary
Angels stand at Heaven’s gate

Screams shatter the silence of night
And pierce the souls of the innocent
Angels weep and hot tears they fall
Each drop that lands like acid burns
Four horsemen ride across the land
Unimaginable is the woe they bring
Deep in caverns where no sun shines
People their faces they try to hide
All around them hell breaks loose
And the dead from graves arising
What was no longer is, gone is perception
Up is down and down is up, supreme reigns confusion
Carrion birds, millions blacken the sky
Their cries bring terror rising
No place to hide, nowhere is safe
Oh woe to me and woe to you

As all of this runs through my head,
I wish that I'd go back to bed,
Dreams of kings with queens.
Long forgotton things,
I remember them all,
Running fingers across,
Cracked, broken, brick walls,
Empty voices echoing lonely halls,
I hear them call,
Choose not to listen,
Tears brim and eyes glisten,
The aching loss of a love thats missing....

I know not what my day does bring,
this feeling of being alone,
no longer does my heart sing,
unearthly presence within my home,
Looking back brings about some tears,
wondering so much the why?,
was I really that person over the years,
breathing deeply, take another sigh,
when will the sun shine for me,
so many hurtful things being said,
how can I cope if no-one will let me be,
need more rest time for bed,
Some days bring me so much cheer,
why hurt me over something that is dead,
I try to climb above all the fear,
but my mind is filled with so much lead,
Do you understand my pain,
I long for rest and peace,
your antagonism has nothing to gain,
somedays you wish for that heavenly release.

About this poem:
I saw these words quoted by a certain celebrity and felt a similar feeling towards how they felt and decided to pen this small poem of how one may feel in depression.
If you know someone who`s depressed please resolve never
to ask them why?
Depression isn't` a straightforward response to a bad
situation, depression just is, like the weather.
Try to understand the blackness, lethargy, hopelessness
and loneliness they`re going through. Be there for them
when they come through the other side. It`s hard to be
a friend to someone who`s depressed, but it is one of the
kindest, noblest and best things you will ever do.
- Stephen Fry
Depression is a flaw in chemistry, not character.
