Racing to the hidden cave
scratched bones upon the wall
a refuge within a darkness
lit of memories told
the warm of fire
shall not engulf the trembling
bodies of fear
It must go out!
but to open the lids of sight
heaving breathes
of the dying
might
dripping sweat falling
into the lines of age
a haunted silence
like lowered clouds of mist
hanging bats twitching to the scuff
insects crawling to dive
deep within the
cusp
as hooves of thunder rolled upon the sky
within my retreat
I guarded
silent
where they shall always
Lie

I stumble upon a midnight thought it could be you or possibly me..
Finding my thought before it must drift away oh please stay awhile as I do not want you to go?
Under my pillow lays a dream and I wake with a smile knowing I slept with warm thoughts of you so near wishing I could recap it today for a life together as we feel like more than a dream....
I woke up and saw I was laying alone then when I realize I was in a dream I rolled over and soon fell back to sleep to ponder if you ever even existed to reality of more than a DREAM....

It is okay to dream

She is the girl
in the gym,
our eyes glance and meet,
she flashes a smile
my heart goes into denial...
I want to tell her
my happiness is gone,
I walk this world
as a lost soul,
an eternal loner...
I dream to the stars
praying each day
it will be better
than the last day...
Will she listen?
I want to tell her
I am tired of running
and being out of breath
my happiness is gone
as I walk in this world...
I mend a broken heart
my heart bleeds,
asleep in pool of blood,
nightmares up my spine,
I bleed dry...

I miss
That kiss
the one that never was
Warmth
holding
a smell of a guess work
puckering
a smile gone
no caressing
dam
blue seas
push that roaming river
spilling
all that gives
to only
a beauty gone
that gives

reminiscing
time to listen
my decisions
my convictions
lessons learned
skills earned
time served
bridges burned
self contained
im self restrained
feel my pain like acid rain
no brain im insane
you feel the same
I doubt it mane
people changed
but feelings stay
but me mane
I stayed the same
self promote
I self implode
weed smoke
got off the dope
self cope
the heavy coat
the thick rope
the slit throat
riot mind
im racing time
no answer why
but ill be fine
so if you insist on therepy please sign this waiver
because once you enter my mind not even god can save ya

My heart bleeds today with sorrow
this day now dark as night
yes you may ask me why
I tell you all this
we are poets one and all
so don't let envy cloud
what should be a perfect place
open your minds and hearts
just read the beauty of the words
here there should be no strife
as it stifles and smothers all
let peace reign here for all
listen only to the beauty
take inspiration and joy
from every written word
make here a serene place
poetry has no place for discord
it sours and poisons our souls
lets leave the outside world
and fill here with pure love

I once had a friend; it was not a girl nor was it a boy~
I often wondered why this friend was so close~
When I closed my eyes at night there that friend was~
As I woke of a morning, again my friend was there~
Everywhere I went that friend was so close by~
If this is not a female or a male how is it a friend?
Time went on and there that friend was very near~
Do I imagine that there is a friend there?
Imaginary friends do not speak,
Nor do they fight, grin, laugh at you~
Always there to listen to you~
When you need a true friend to be there’
You can always count on that~

we know these terrors all too well
as we lie asleep tossing, turning
trying to break free, to wake up
dark vile horrors reaching out
grabbing, tugging, pulling us back
yet can we recall what they were?
starting we awake shivering, shaking
peering into dark shadowy corners
is there something hiding, lurking
relieved sigh just a trick of light
our mind seeing what's not there
is it our inner eye trying to warn
seeing peril for us in the future?
or are they just random fears
that prey on us while we sleep
tormenting when we are most vulnerable
whatever they are, where ever from
they have me checking under the bed
all clear, only some dust bunnies
uncertain back to bed to lie listening
will they be back if so when?
this question I can not answer

my chest is burning
like a volcano
the pain melting my heart
torn between love and hate
love that still prevails
this crash in my life
left an awful scar
in words that have wisdom
earth,moon and stars
you are amongst them
mars is my planet
alone blind and cruel
was not my intention
to you my love

... cast a mighty spell,
To bring a demon strait from hell,
Arcane symbols on the floor,
Pentagrams on all the doors,
Performing rituals of strangeness,
Chanting in forgotten language,
Hands weaved a cloud of smoke,
From out of it the horror spoke,
Eyes burning in the blackness,
Through teeth corroded, wicked, jagged,
" Who dares to use the highest magic?",
" Your end will be slow, painful ,tragic...",
The magician struggled to control the beast,
Least wanting to be a feast for
something from the depths beneath,
" My body is weak and I grow old",
" I would give my eternal soul"
" for a thousand years or so..."
Signed in blood, a pact was made,
"I grant you your request in vain,
For a millenia love wont find your face",
The man was aghast and asked with a huff,
"What would life be without love?"
The devil slyly grinned and shrugged,
"You should've made a deal with the god above..."
