conquest

If you wanted someone so bad,
how far would you go,
would you make a fool of yourself,
by letting your feelings show,
would you try to catch their eye,
or smother them in a clinch,
would you go to the extremes,
to get that longed for kiss

if you tried so hard,
and getting no-where,
if they never look you in the eye,
if you put your cards upon the table
and still they just passed you by,
what's it going to take too
what are you going to do,
how do you tell someone you love them,
when they seem to look through you

you're acting like a stalker,
but that's just the way it is,
you're fighting every morning,
not to feel like the way this is,
there's simply not another ,
who can rock your world "no contest".
and will you feel the same,
if you finally get your conquest

Bad Senator

As far as I'm concerned the price of gas is too low
I offer you Senator a bill that will not only increase oil profits
For the oil companies
But also tack on a pay raise for ourselves
I don't know about you
But I do know what the American people who are struggling to stay warm
In the winter and fill their vehicles mean to me
What they mean to me and what they mean to you
Are a bunch of suckers to use and abuse
I don't care about them at all
What I do care about is my own wealth
And doing right isn't going to do that
Keeping the price of gas low isn't gonna put that shiny red porche
In my garage or a 50 inch plasma TV hanging on my wall
So by passing this bill to raise the price of gas from 3.30 to 4 bucks
By May and make these increases retroactive each and every year
At a rate of 18.5 percent each year
So you see fellow Senators in just 10 years we will all be very
Rich men and the poor will get poorer which is exactly what we do best
Thank you for your time

white dove

you are a beautiful rare white dove
that was sent from up above
you make my heart skip a beat
you are so wonderful and so sweet

you have that one spot in my heart
i knew it from the very start
you are a ray of beaming light
that brightens up the stars at night

you are my sunshine everyday
even when the clouds would stay
you are my strength when i fall
and give me courage to stand tall

you make me feel that i can fly
high up above there in the sky
you make me feel a wanted man
cos of you i know i can

i know you are the one for me
you and i are meant to be
you are my beautiful rare white dove
that was sent from up above

Alleen

Ek sit aandagtig an luister
Hoe die winde fluister
Ek sit en luister na die wind
tot ek myself weer vind
myself, my inner kind

ek is nou heelwat ouer
en my lewenspad raak vir my al nouer
ek is moeg vir die eensaamheid
en tog sukkel ek voort in die stryd
ek soek my ridder op 'n wit perd
wat lief kan wees vir die meisie en haar ponie stert

ek hunker my lewe na sukses
in alles wat ek doen probeer ek my bes
die pad alleen is nie maklik nie
ek soek daardei een persoon, maar waaren wie
hoekom is dit so moeilik om te kry wat ek wil hê
as ek dit dan op so mooi manier hardop sê

wide eyed ways

remember when we all could see?
when it was all visible?
the recipes, the jokes, the blog
the atrocity, the jewel, the weather
the hate was palpable, and love too

those were the wild west days
when anyone could say anything
and still be heard loud and
clear or still a small voice
had a place in Babylon

then we saw what we have
to fear, fear itself closing
and startled lips quiet
and watched only, waiting
as knowing disbelief settled

lines drawn, in the sandy rock
politically aligned
side to side we set
taking steps and withdrawn
telling, what you know

to recognize you as another,
is difference virus like?
appendages feel and recoil
why and why not...clone me
you are human aren't you?

can symbioses occur anymore?
do you have a gene for me?
border to border, see wide eyed
minds flesh out and fall mute
can we allow latitude of ignorance?

SHADOW

I, am the dying residue of the day,
Yet, the living precursor of dawning, they say,
Not limited by time, nor speed of light,
Twilight my friend!….The day takes flight!
Hah! Both night and day, traitors to my cause,
Yet, the Sun and Moon, welcome oasis’s of course,
Embrace me,
Come, see,
Yourself you will know,
For I…..Am Shadow!

This be the verse...

They fcuk you up,your mum and dad
They may not mean to,but they do
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra just for you

But they were fcuked up in their turn
By fools in old style hats and coats
Who half the time were soppy stern
And half at one anothers throats

Man hands on misery to man
It deepens like a coastal shelf
Get out as early as you can
And dont have any kids yourself

UNDISPUTED CHAMPION

Let's put whose GOAT to rest
doing it all better defines best
Smartest and clutchest the just buzz
if anyone depicts 'greatest' he does

Founder of Fifty Forty Ninety club
'basketball genius' not just random hubbub
Others played checkers he played chess
other former 'greats' did personally confess

"Basketball Jesus" not show-boater in 'Air'
career Twenty-four Ten Six NON share
Laughable is "he wasn't that athletic"
total domination of league wasn't synthetic

"Couldn't jump and way too slow"
further proving he's NBA's #1 show
Jumped just enough to outrebound you
speed obviously more than adequate too

Haters choose rebuke over 'just' due
not being 'best' arduous to chew
Blatant racist only disgrace civil society
loss of 'Republic' inevitable from variety

"To the Greatest basketball player ever
but more important a friend forever"
Opinions on GOAT are simply that
with 'Magic' is where I'm at

GOAT FINAL WORD
Larry Joe Bird

Willow

Willow

you are but a baby yet your spirit has been sewn
by your dear and loving parents
and all the caring people that are meeting you, greeting you
sewn...welcome home
before your dear arrival, our expectations danced awhirl
of the promise that we carried for our precious little girl
with our prayers came all answers the moment you arrived
our tears poured out in joy that we had held so long inside
that a child is born unto us, our lives have now been blessed
for we carry truth within us, we live our lives with zest
with your birth came our rebirth, with direction for to strive
'ever walk our path with relish, now we truly are alive
