Here's Hoping............

How can you blame them
Searching for a better life
They understand of another world
Without poverty and strife
A world of jobs and riches
A world of happy and sane
So why shouldn't they pursue
To eliminate their pain
Would you search for a better life
If the roles were turned around
Of coarse you would because you know you could
It's just normal ground
So why is it we make it hard
For those who know what hard is
Should we not open our hearts
And give that what reality really is
Surely there is way
That will determine their fate
A lot more easier
Than the way they can relate
Hope is an avenue
All must venture down
I hope that all that seek their way
Keep their direction to ease their frown .............

If I Were A Rich Man

They can stare with an evil look animosity
Staying mad cause of who I would like to see
That's ok anyway they turn their head
But if I were a rich man nothing would be said

They seem to be jealous want to keep my age safe and sound
It's a mystery why they keep trying to use esp
There needs to be another form of communication instead
And if I were a rich man nothing would be said

This crazy thing for years has been going on
As of yet they haven't wore me down and when I look around
A lot of faces are still turning red
But if I were a rich man nothing would be said

So you got a shirt and you got a tie
You wear for your serious business as years go by
If you get a choking feeling it's all in your head
Seriously if I were a rich man nothing would be said

~ Enchantment ~

Enchantment

A heart cries out for love ~

Does yours ~

The one of your dreams beckons

Where art thou

Tis maddening the want of you

To hold you in loving arms

To nestle close and feel the beatings of your heart

To find the one and only ~ Tis you ~

Handle my heart gently, my love

Or it will break ~

My soul is searching for it’s mate

Look within your heart and see if it’s you

Seeking the one and only that can be true ~

Kiss me my sweet, feel my lip’s love and affection

Hold me tight and never let me go ~

Infidelity

I shall take a pinch
Of betrayal
A portion of despair
And a slice of heartbreak
Blend it with a large
Dose of grief
And mix it all
In your coffee
So you may experience
Exactly
How I feel

Is Love Gonna Be Enough

Careless days my youth
Those endless nights
Where taps always flowed
A crowded dance floor
Music and lights
Well stocked bar
Polished chrome
Girl with a pretty smile
Perched right next to me
Waiting for an invitation
To dance the night away
A request never made
Fear drowning courage
My awkward speech
That stumbling gait
Fumbling hands shook
The moment was lost
No words were spoke
Yep there’s the bloke
Standing in awe
Of such beautiful creation
Wondering all the time
Is love gonna be enough

About this poem:
Awkward to speak about, that feeling so insecure sometimes is really very natural and ok sometimes.

SEE-SAW MOMENTS.

One face, makes your heart sing
Caring eyes, of your queen-or-king
Gentle smile, that lifts your soul
As cupid's arrow, hits its goal

Emotions felt, as a couple grow
Seeds of doubts, at times you sow
Will this journey, end as friends
Or detour, taking a wrong bend

Two not one, must make a pair
Love-sincerity, both must share
See-saw moments, hold on tight
Ignoring others, if you feel it's right

Until both, know how to progress
Hands and hearts, invisible caress
Passion, like electricity charges air
To ignore true love, like this is rare

Does age or culture, block the way
For true love, does it matter anyway
Love can die, but deserves a chance
Eyes confirmation, with each glance

~ Dream ~

~ Dream ~

Life is but a wondrous dream

I could fall in love with you

Darling could you feel the same way too

You arouse the passion in my heart
when I gaze into the beauty of your eyes

True love, do you feel it too

Could it happen as suddenly ~ to you

Does love play it’s harp strings
upon your beating heart

Does it play it’s romantic music softly in the dark

Are your sweet lips awaiting mine

I want you my love, until the end of time ~

Hold me tight and don’t let go

Oh! How, I want to hold you so!

Oh! Tis a dream, Tis true!

But some day I will find the one

For I am searching, searching just for you!

POSITIVE STEPS.

As we turn a page on a brand new year
Calendar or diary, one thing will be clear
Forward looking, in anticipation we know
Anything can happen, hope seeds we sow

Dreams keep us heady, without crystal ball
To guide and protect us, from life's falls
Though on our journey, experience learnt
Will stop us getting, emotionally burnt

Physical pain, a factor all must endure
When time a healer, comes as our cure
Yet on the first day, when a year is new
Comes positive outlooks, rarely negative too

If we have been hurt, caution might lead
Hope taking control, because of a need
So as the New Year, explodes as it must
Enjoy every moment, considering trust

Each new opportunity, gives you a chance
To reap joy and happiness, taking a glance
Without rose-coloured-glasses, though smile
At the journey stretching ahead, enjoying each mile.

PERSONAL MEMORY TRIGGER....

Images stir us alive, never forgotten
An avenue of trees, decked in blossom
You have a favourite memory you hold
Lift spirits, make you happy acting bold

Whether fragrance, adds to the pleasure
I love from my past, but I cannot measure
Against memories, retained in my heart
Drifting back in time, and miles apart

Past images so strong, special to me
Build momentum, each time I see
Nature's image, tree lined streets
Or farmland orchards, for family meets

Links carried, from strangers who cared
Designing avenues, for the future to share
Different sides of universe, a trigger too
To stir inner emotions, for those passing through

Pockets of special places, dot world's spaces
Lifting smiles, to visitors-residents faces
Little reminders, triggers of the mind
Personal video camera, to emotionally bind

About this poem:
do we ever give up those special memories that link us with childhood or youth....and with so many ensuring triggers are established in countries around the world miles apart, it's like tributing to a form of home sickness...
felt by many who have made another country their home.....

Football

Packers are out
Then I root for who?
The Bears and the Eagles are the only teams left I like
But they are playing each other
So after tomarrow night there will only be one left I like
For those I hate are the Cowboys and the Patriots
As for the rest
Saints, Chiefs, Rams, Chargers, Texans, and Colts
Not one of these do I care anything about
So will there be a team I like in the Super Bowl?
In four weeks we will find out on February 3.

About this poem:
Sometimes there are teams in the Superbowl that I can root for. The Bears in 1986, the Packers in 1997 and 2011, and the Eagles last year.
