Beautifully Invisible

I am smart.
I am beautiful.
I am creative.
I am loyal.
I am stable.
I am caring .
I am loving.
I am kind.
I am honest.
I am everything he's ever wanted
Yet
I'm beautifully invisible
If only he saw me...

Walk With Me...

Walk with me, the path of life,
to explore every bend of the road
Enjoy with me the beauty of life,
along its wonderful way

Find comfort with me, in each other's arms,
when grief crosses our path
Find strength with me, in each other's strength,
when despair lies in wait

Laugh with me, a single true laugh,
to enlighten another's distress
Cry with me, a single true tear,
to understand true happiness

Cherish with me, the wonders of life,
as they need to be preserved
Rejoice with me, in the mysteries,
of what is yet to be

Find peace with me, in each other's souls,
when the world has gone insane
Find love with me, in each other's hearts,
until this life has been fulfilled

And when the path comes to an end
We can say from within
We've known the beauty of true love,
our love came from within

Email Me

Should you ever feel like you are all alone
As if everyone on the planet is gone
Theres on one left to talk to
Email me and we,ll see what we can do

If you ever feel theres no one to hold your hand
I,ll try to make you understand
Lifes as beautiful as a rose
Beware of the thorns as you pull it to your nose

We can talk about your dreams we all have them you know
They can become reality if given the chance to grow
Im here to listen if you need
And if its a push I can do that and Ill wish you God speed

I can listen to the good as well as the bad
I can listen to the happy as well as the sad
So if you ever feel theres no one and nothing you can do
Email me and we,ll see what we can do

Not really a poem.. but worth the quick read..

Be careful the the one you are willing to take a bullet for is not the one holding the gun..
obvious but so true..

This Poet Surrenders

All the endings in my life
rise up against me
like that sea of troubles
Shakespeare mixed
with metaphors;
like Vikings in their boats
singing Wagner,
like witches
burning at
the stake-
I surrender
to my fate.

I know beginnings,
their sweetness,
& endings,
their bitterness-
but I do not know
continuance-
I do not know
the sweet demi-boredom
of life as it lingers,
of man & wife
regarding each other
across a table of shared witnesses,
of the hand-in-hand dreams
of those who have slept
a half century together
in a bed so used & familiar
it is rutted
with love.

I would know that
before this life closes,
a soulmate to share my seedlings
I would make a spell
with long grey beard hairs
& powdered rosemary & rue,
with the jacket of a tux
for a strong man
with broad shoulders,
who loves to cuddle;
with one blue contact lens
for his bluest eyes,
with honey in a jar
for his love for me;
with salt in a dish
for his love of sex & skin;
with crushed rose pedals
for our bed;
with tubes of cerulean blue
& vermilion & rose madder
for his artist's-eye;
with a poem by Blake
for his love of innocence
revealed by experience;
with soft rain
& a bare head;
with hand-in-hand dreams on Mondays
& a sweat ridden bed of sex
on Sundays;
with mangoes, papayas
& limes,
& a house towering
above the sea.

Muse, I surrender
to thee,
Thy will be done,
not mine.

If this love potion
pleases you,
send me this lover,
this husband,
this dancing partner
for my empty bed
& let him fill me
from now
until I die.

I offer my bones,
my poems,
my seedlings
& the secret garden
I have found
walled in my center,
& the sunflower
who raises her head
despite her heavy seeds.

I am ready now, Muse,
to serve you faithfully
even with
a graceful dancing partner-
for I have learned
to stand alone.

Give me your blessing.
Let the next
epithalamion I write
be my own.

And let it last
more than the years
of my life-
& without the least
strain-
two lovers hearts
exposed
in a summer rain.

One Only

Tired of feeling sad, tired of being lonely
But I got a prayer to lean on
What if you had one prayer to lean on
And one only

Blues are like a song of a river flowing slow
Blues are like a quiet telephone and I already know
No one is going to phone me

But I got a prayer to lean on
What if you had one prayer to lean on
And one only

Time is just a prop
That you hang on the wall
All that time has got is more time to stall, for the lonely

But I got a prayer to lean on
What if you had one prayer to lean on
And one only

Lonely Bed

My bed is the lonely bed
of chosen chastity
because he is miles
& mountains away,
over canyons, under jet streams,
where cirrus clouds streak
from east to west,
& the cumulus clouds
copulate to spite us,
& the manhood of the wind thrashes
the bellies of planes.

(pause)

We are not in flight (not yet)
& we sigh on our lonely beds.
A thousand miles apart
but memorized in each other's eyes & hips,
so full of each other,
we are empty to the world.

I could find a man to fill me, my bed,
but he would never make me fly,
my heart is so full now,
there is no room left for another, ever

He could find another woman to clutch him,
but he would not cry & bite her shoulder
wanting entrance to her blood, her soul.

(pause)

So instead,
the whole country is a bed
in which we lie on opposite coasts,
divided by the obdurate mountains
of our obstinate love,
& wishing for an earthquake
to shake the continent,
& collapse us into each other's arms
once again.

Gold

It's like I'm tongue tied in a poetic convention.

I can't say it right so I don't even mention

that little thing in the back of my brain

I think it might be you that makes me go insane,

I'm walking through a deep dark forest

and you're the ray of shinshine on the floor, and

I move around it because I'm not worthy

You're all beautiful and I'm like Billy Warty

*

Now I'm swimming in an ocean of raging water

Looking for a little diamond, dolla make me holla!

And you're all up in my heart like asbestos in the walls.

Just when I think I got ya, yeah that's when I fall

And I know you don't love me but I still think you care

Maybe I'm just all loony, but I can feel yo here.

So I walk around the town like the squeakin law

you know you stole my heart, and then you let it fall

*

It's not how long you live but

the one's you're living beside.

It's not the air you breathe but

the love that dwells in it.

I see the other side but

I'd rather stick wit 'choo

I see the rainbow's end but

you better than that gold.

*

I love you like a fly loves fecal matter.

You without me's like a cookie without the batter.

I can't really say that you still pop up in my dreams

but I'm happy, then how come I don't feel free?

You and me are like a drummer on acordion

But I still love you like the tail end of a scorpion.

If you could see me, then you'd see how I am smiling

I see your picture and inside--kicking and screaming.

*

Yeah our relationship's a recipe from Taste of Home.

I realy love it, but I binge everytime that you're gone.

Here in this moment, I can smell the scent of memory

Oh no, wait, yeah...that's just me.

Yeah we're exciting like candy sticks without the candy

like, what the heck? that's just a stick, I'm squeakin' loony.

But really, darling, I love you like raccoons love cat food

It's kind of early, but I think I'll end it here, so rude!

*

It's not how long you live but

the one's you're living beside.

It's not the air you breathe but

the love that dwells in it.

I see the other side but

I'd rather stick wit 'choo

I see the rainbow's end but

you better than that gold.

...

Word.

Sunday Morning Song

Embedded image from another site

Sunday morning shine
a bird sings I know not where
it should be your soul awake
open the curtains
I love her singing and reveals.

Listen sings tenderly
from which branch does she sing?
day and night always
I love night and Sunday!

We see the bluebird fly
with colors such as purple and blue
such a beautiful hue
of downy and indigo.

Bird that sings of love
this miraculous transformation
soul singing upon her branch
love is heaven and heaven is blue.

Sister Ave is love
my love is a beautiful woman
A rose is less beautiful
blue bird of love.

Blue bird as the heart
red chest below of cries
seed stars with her song
blue love of my heart.
