CloudySky

Untitled

Surrounded by the silence
Only night can bring
Enveloped in the darkened clouds
Arms which angels sing
Bated breath like wind does blow
Only sign of motion
Rampant thoughts take steps so slow
Attempt to stifle emotions
Hide and seek the random play
Not left for children’s feet
This game is not of one we choose
And ends with souls defeat.

Infidelity.

In the cold light of day, love's price I must pay,
As she bows to her handsome new master,
Now his easy lay, our future betray,
While it lies in ruin and disaster.

Her untrusting word, like the edge of a sword,
From my heart draws a trickle of blood,
My speech became slurred, my vision all blurred,
As I fall to my knees in the mud.

'Mid the lines of this verse, an invisible hearse,
To bury the remains of my sorrow,
In sad tears immersed, harm can't be reversed,
To pay for her sins, I now borrow.

My memory long dead, banished from her head,
As she stares at the ceiling above 'er,
Thoughts of pleasure instead, as bare she lies spread,
'Neath the gyrating hips of her lover.

But someday yet, there'll be haunting regret,
As their sins they'll be forced to expel,
With red-hot sweat, to repay Satan's debt,
For eternity in the furnace of Hell !

Desire

Embedded image from another site

She kills me
when she smiles
I stop breathing
the way she moans
my name

I am obsessed
infatuated
hungry for
her touch
color
smell
taste

the feel of her soul
touching mine

I want her to
melt into me
like butter on toast
I want to absorb her
walk around with her
encased in my skin

I desire her...

Minstrels lament

Hey there girl I miss you dearly,
And I mean that quite sincerly,
I've very nearly lost my mind,
Not having you by my side,
They say that time heals all wounds,
But I will never be over you,
Whenever life depresses me,
I drift of to your memory,
Remembering the times we shared,
Hoping that you truly cared,
As much as I still care for you,
Despite doing what we had to do,
I realize now we're truly through,
I just read another letter from you,
You're talking about this other dude,
And how he says your special too,
I knew one day that I would lose,
My bruised heart, all black and blue,
Has just been ripped and torn in two,
Guess there's nothing I can do,
There'll be others like him too,
I hope they die before I do,
I hope when they breathe their last breath,
I am there to watch their death!,
Thats my broken heart doing its best,
To try and escape this aching chest,
I still wish you the best in life and love,
May happiness follow wherever you go,
I want you to know,
I still dream of you at night,
Your always there when I close my eyes,
If everyone on this earth was to die,
Everything would be fine,
With you by my side,
Its like I have died,
Now that you left me,
All I have are these memories,
These horrible things that scream your name,
I wish that they would go away,
And my poor broken heart,
Will stay where it's at,
So it cannot be attacked,
Alone and scared Ill play along,
Till the blessed day Im gone,
Just know I dont want to go on,
Still I know I must go on,
Till the game is lost or won,
Till the day that I am done...

a cup in your hand

until the birds of Summer gather
to sing of their love for dawn
a tangled moon will sway
upon silvered leaves
breathing Venus's last breaths
like bright trumpet calls

fore the love of beauty is a dream
existing outside of time
yet filling moments with timeless
in the hourglass of a souls
perceptions

Gentle Summer Rain Art

She writes about Fall's beauty in the rain
The falling raindrops' dance ascribing thence
Bespoken verse that lightens her refrain
before the time they met - her steps commence.

She listens to the soft and rhythmic thrum,
her love turned to escape and cloudy string
Where nimbus mistletoe fell, tears to become
Their kiss of Autumn was symbolic ring.

The first light cotton mists with summer rays
While skyward cheerful laughs adorn the land,
their ceremonial dance diffuses grays,
affectionate embrace, where dreams expand.

Upon September's sky the raindrops gleam
With half of hidden Sun to laugh and beam.

Enjoy the FRAGRANCE OF RAIN

Moon Beams------- a wayra

With moon shining bright
casting long silvery shadows
that hide the lovers from sight
as they lay together
by the river in dappled shade

Hail Independence Day

Bloodshed and revolution all around,
Our brothers and sisters lay on the battle ground.
Consolation that we have won,
Snatched back the "FREEDOM" that was once gone.
1947,14th night, free from shackles of slavery,
We uprooted the British crown with our bravery.
The dawn of 15th was high with expectations,
An occasion of joy and mixed emotions.

The "Golden Eagle" will again spread its wings,
Flying high ,defying challenges unforeseen.

So many decades have passed by,
The Eagle is still unable to fly.
Bound by shackles of corruption and lawlessness,
The freedom has become worse than that of British days.
Just singing our anthem and saluting the Flag,
Is this the freedom so costly had?
A holiday is what we look for this day,
Our patriotic fervor has long swept away.

Selfish interests and personal goals,
Selling our integrity has become our role.
Economic encroachment all around,
India's purse strings lay on foreign ground.

Still there seems no lurking fear,
Of losing our independence which was so dear.

Rise my fellow citizens on this day,
To salute our martyrs and remember what they say.
Protest against rapid liberalization that might one day,
Convert the independence to a dependence day.

Many will disagree to what I say,
But I hope they will contribute on their way,
To enable the deprived celebrate a happier independence day.
All of us would love our motherland,
Have a strong foothold even in the sand,
Watching others being swept away,
Standing like a rock that has come to stay .

Suggestions are not what is the need,
Actions and hard work must superseded.
So lets take an oath in this very day,
To strive hard towards country's betterment keeping vested interests at bay,
This is my sincere thought for our Independence day.

Depths

As far as the ocean deep as the sea hot as the sun is you for me. Living like heaven dying like hell falling faster untill that moment when we will. Going the depths taking the rains sharing a moment untill night turns into the sadness hopelessness of a new day. Waking up in a bed of our own intangible untangled web of love and lust. Because forever is you and me the only ones we ever will trust

Hold My Hand I'm Dying….

[I borrowed this title from a great book by the same title by John Gordon Davis. We were newly-weds and childless so far, so we took turns reading it to each other, whilst driving through the life-enhancing African bush, blushing here and there at the explicit s*xual content, funny though, all I remember about the book is this terribly graphic scene where this huge, cruel crocodile grabbed a buck and after drowning it, dragged it down to its den beneath the river, where it would sit till the flesh rotted and then the crocodile could eat it…, yugh!]

Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…,
The cosmic loneliness is encompassing me again,
And I acutely feel the existential futility of it all,
Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…

Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…
I think of all the wonderful loves that have graced my life and are now gone,
And I slowly wither,
Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…

Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…
I look to the future as it’s utter desolation beckons seemingly so unerringly,
And my bones turn to clay,
Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…

Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…
I think of my children and grandchildren living sooo far away from me,
And my spirit starts fading and being swallowed up by the abyss is beginning to look more and more desirable,
Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…

Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…
I read the ‘news’ every day, and the enormous disregard for humanity and it’s dignity fills me with melancholy no end,
And I sink into despair,
Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…

Dear G-d, hold my hand, I’m dying…
As I feel your hand in mine dear G-d,
I take comfort,
At first, it starts small,
But, then, as I turn to look into your fathomless eyes,
The comfort grows and it actually starts to metamorphose to a new world,
As your energy starts to flow through me,
I sense a new beginning,
A fresh start,
Where “the lion truly lies down with the lamb”,
And a new world,
A world tomorrow begins to shimmer through,
And the faint beginnings of a tired smile and new hope begins to stir in my breast,
Don’t ever stop holding my hand dear G-d,
I’m slowly coming back to life…
