54xmax: You got that right, one can provide as much proof as one wants, in the end - - - -they scream "conspiracy, propaganda - - - - " and when asked for proof from their side, they will always banter, scream, and find a BS Excuse not to give the sources from which they get the info - - -

well I provided proof and yet, all you have done is throw out a series of links with no quotes so I have no idea of what they are or what point you are attempting to make. Perhaps if you were to quote what it is I am supposed to be looking at and why rather than expecting us all to read every web site on the internet.

As for my proof, I countered yours and Robbies contention that the CIA trained Bin Laden with one quote, a link as well as an explanation as to who the gentleman was that was speaking.

Go ahead, read and reply.sad flower

54xmax: Peter Bergen - print and television journalist, author, and CNN's national security analyst

Are you serious, a CNN news report is your expert on Bin Laden - - - - - Come on I thought it is some annalist in intelligence community - - - or something like that, then I'd give it more credit, or that he is some whistle blower, but no a journalist from CNN - - - - CNN and Fox are Establishment propaganda tools - - - - And you are telling me my sources are not viable - - - - Your example shows where your info comes from - - - you said it all - - - - - "news" is the last place where I pick up my sources, and not ALL things on you tube are crap - - - - many documentaries, and interviews were not made in basement - - - - -

Peter Bergen (born 1962) is a print and television journalist, author, and CNN's national security analyst. Bergen produced the first television interview with Osama Bin Laden in 1997. The interview, which aired on CNN, marked the first time that bin Laden declared war against the United States to a Western audience. Bergen has written three books: Holy War, Inc., The Osama bin Laden I Know, and The Longest War: The Enduring Conflict Between America and al-Qaeda (Jan. 2011).

Bergen is on the editorial board of Studies in Conflict and Terrorism, and has testified before several congressional committees, including the House of Representatives Homeland Security Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He is a member of the National Security Preparedness Group, a successor to the 9/11 Commission, and is the co-editor of the AfPak Channel, a joint publication of Foreign Policy (magazine) and the New America Foundation that can be accessed at

He was the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Overseas Press Club in 1994. His first book, Holy War, Inc. has been translated in 18 languages, and both it and his second book, The Osama bin Laden I Know, were named among the best non-fiction books of the year by the Washington Post. Documentaries based on both books were nominated for Emmys in 2002 and 2007. His most recent book is The Longest War: The Enduring Conflict between America and Al-Qaeda (Free Press, Jan. 2011), it is a encompassing overview of the war on terror.

Bergen has reported on al-Qaeda, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and counterterrorism and homeland security for a range of American newspapers and magazines including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Foreign Affairs, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Rolling Stone, Time, The Nation, The National Interest, Mother Jones, Newsweek, and Vanity Fair. He is a contributing editor at The New Republic. His story on extraordinary rendition for Mother Jones was part of a package of stories nominated for a 2008 National Magazine Award. He has also written for newspapers and magazines around the world such as The Guardian, The Times of London, The Daily Telegraph, International Herald Tribune, Prospect magazine, El Mundo (Spain), La Repubblica, The National (Abu Dhabi), and Die Welt. He has worked as a correspondent for National Geographic Television and Discovery Television, and CNN. On May 2, 2011, shortly after it was reported that Osama bin Laden had been killed, Bergen stated on CNN, "Killing bin Laden is the end of the War on Terror. We can just sort of announce that right now."

Oh please, I'm getting tired by your circular pathetic juvenile amateur psychology.

I'll repeat it again, they are WITNESSES.

Had you listened to the interview, you would have heard, the professionals credentials, and the facts yourself.

Keep frankly asking for quotes, when i've even directed you to audio interviews is just being evasive on your part.

Likewise the book....have you read that?

Have any experience within Intelligence circles, or know anyone with experience in dealing with any form of classified data?

Please, I'm wasting my time with you when you don't even look at the material, or know anything about the region.

Do you have any connections whatsoever to the region, or any contact with say for instance a SEEBES planner? Doubt it.

Know any ranking intelligence, political or special forces personnel? Anyone who's served there???

And you want to cite CNN as the best source available....not the director of Pakistani Intelligence.

Where did you get your critical thinking....Fox News and Newt Gingridge? Borrow Ted Kennedy's brain?

I'll take the head of ISI and people that i know, over your news journalist any day of the week.

Now go get the book i mentioned, and the copy of Janes International and look up both the Anti Aircraft guns, and you'll even learn something about the American defence budget.

As i said, go do this, listen to the testimony from the two respectable sources, look at Janes......confirm the facts about the bofoers guns, then we'll go from there.

Other than that, what more do want me to say? Other than sink to your level?

Now we withdraw, what are the 6 going to do? Stay at the table?

Sure they will. Till Omar sends some suciede news team with exploding camera to one, like what was done to Northern Alliance leader in 2001. Then they all skip the peace talks and join Omar again.

Yeah, I gave up...he hasn't even commented on the two individuals i cited.

I ask you, who would you expect to know more about someone....The head of a Countries Intelligence Service, and a highly respected member of the intelligence community, who had not only contact but worked with Osama in the course of his duties, or a journalist who's interview him?

Please...it's a no brainer...but he didn't list the head of the ISI's credentials...obviously as clearly being the Head of the Intelligence Service in Pakistan, dealing with OBL, the countless Intelligence Agencies, and foreign governments,at the highest possible level there was, being the fulcrum that all Intelligence originated from....yeah this guy didn't know anything.

Alberta, Journalist VS Head of the ISI......
Then there's Dr Steve Piecniek's credentials, which are more impressive than his journalist!

Oh yeah, this guy is infamous in intelligence circles. He practically wrote the book on basically "psyops/counter intelligence".

So clearly, both these gentlemen are way less informed than a journalist....and for those who don't know him.....he has two characters based on his actual rolls within his time serving 3, yes 3 Presidents...working for such complete nobodies as Cyrus Vance, Henry Kissenger and James Baker...so obviously this man is a complete muppet, with no credibility.

The characters people may know as Jack Ryan in Patriot Games....yep, it's based on this very real gentleman....

So yeah, Alberta...got anyone better than a head of Pakistani Intelligence....and a highly respected, internationally known Intelligence Expert...who amoungst other things on his CV is credited with Inventing an office of intelligence, was fundamental in setting up Delta Force, and dealing with incidents worldwide.

Funnily enough, yeah...I'll stick with these two guys, as everything the journalist would have been available to the Head of ISI, via DIALL, the CIA and the State Department, never mind M16....

Forget it...you won't even watch the interviews...your a joke.

Actually Bergen interviewed him.

""It was always galling to the Americans, and I can understand their point of view, that although they paid the piper they could not call the tune. The CIA supported the mujahideen by spending the taxpayers' money, billions of dollars of it over the years, on buying arms, ammunition, and equipment. It was their secret arms procurement branch that was kept busy. It was, however, a cardinal rule of Pakistan's policy that no Americans ever become involved with the distribution of funds or arms once they arrived in the country. No Americans ever trained or had direct contact with the mujahideen, and no American official ever went inside Afghanistan""

RobbieM: Please...it's a no brainer...but he didn't list the head of the ISI's credentials....

Certainly knew enough about OBL to know the CIA didn't train him.

RobbieM: Alberta, Journalist VS Head of the ISI......

yes, they make beautiful music together don't they. Destroyed your lie and you have yet to provide any support whatsoever.

Then there's Dr Steve Piecniek's credentials, which are more impressive than his journalist!

RobbieM: Oh yeah, this guy is infamous in intelligence circles. He practically wrote the book on basically "psyops/counter intelligence".

""On May 3rd, 2011, radio host Alex Jones aired an interview in which Dr. Pieczenik claimed that Osama Bin Laden had died of Marfan syndrome back in July of 2002, and that the attacks on the United States on 9/11 were part of a false flag operation by the American government""

Nope. He already admitted the US didn't have squat to do with OBL so that closes the case I should think.

RobbieM: and a highly respected, internationally known Intelligence Expert...who amoungst other things on his CV is credited with Inventing an office of intelligence, was fundamental in setting up Delta Force, and dealing with incidents worldwide.

"Pieczenik worked for the State Department under Henry Kissinger and is supposedly still a consultant for the State Department, though their PR department was of no use tracking him down. The Defense Department said the last he worked for them was under President Jimmy Carter."

Now he goes on the Alex Jones show and site for fame and fortune. telling all about how he screwed up the mission in Iran.

What have i said, IGNORE ALEX JONES, listen to the witnesses.

Which part about that don't you get?

I know some maybe completely blinkered but you don't even address the information.

Too lazy to look?

Want me to read a book for you? Maybe whichever bookstore your foodstamps can be redeemed at might be able to supply the book.
Failing that, buy a copy to stimulate your economy.

The Jock side of the family is still up there, bar some who went to OZ and others in Canada.

My lot managed to get everywhere......

I even found my surname in Melaka, well nor far from the Chinese district on the way to Penang's Zoo.

Curiously, it's very close to the site of a memorial, where British soldiers were involved in a massacre of civilians.

I know my uncle was serving there with the SAS at the time, but unfortunately didn't see or know anything about it in 1989, by which time my uncle passed away.

I am curious how a street was named with my family name though, being very close to the memorial...then again it could be the name of well known American, who's name is bandied about as being one of the Committee of 300.

Strangely though, nobody in my family can substantiate that hogwash.laugh
