ttom500: Hey Dude.....since taking office in the Florida. Governor Scott....has ended 1100 FL State regulations, several FL Agencies, and .........get this........reduced Florida unemployment from 12.2% to 10.2% since taking office a few months ago.
His goal is to make Florida...business friendly. Attracting new foreign and domestic business into the state. He says that by reducing the regulation on business and having fewer state agencies.....it is easier for business to set up and work in the state.
Get this.....his increase in employment.....was over 50% of the entire countries employment increase this last quarter. How about that? Over 1/2 of Obama employment gain came from Florida.
By the way....for 2012.....Florida will be a key swing state. It grew since the last census and has two more electrol votes. Now it is totally controlled by the REP since the 2010 mid term. Who are realigning the voting prenicts for REP control in 2012. Dang.....
UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN 2000, WHEN BUSH TOOK OFFICE ...... 4.5%!

Don't lie Riffy. Unemployment was 7.6% at the end of Bush's second term.
Currently as stated by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics is 9.1%
Keep in mind though that a great number of people are no longer considered unemployed as their unemployment benefits have run out. I've seen estimates ranging from 12.5% to 22% for the real unemployment rate. My guess is somewhere in the range of 15%.

Dont lie Mr. Katt, the estimates you claim to have seen dont even exist.
MY figures for 2000 are correct, of course, and by early to mid 2009 a few months after Obama actually took office it was 10%. By your estimates , if it suited you,( of course),that would be 20%!!!
My estimates are based on a source called the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Pretty much precisely what we noted earlier today: "A couple of behind-the-scene facts: from October to February, an epic 700k people have left the work force. If you actually adjust for the fact that the labour force participation rate has plunged this cycle to a 27-year low the unemployment would be sitting at 12% today. Moreover the employment-to-population ratio — the so-called “employment rate” — stagnated in February at 58.4% and is actually lower now than it was last fall when “double dip” was the flavour du jour."
When both discouraged workers and the underemployed are considered in the unemployment rate, you end up with the U6 rate, or the "real" unemployment rate. For September, that rate increased from 16.7 to 17.1 percent.
But when it comes to the real unemployment rate, John Williams of Shadowstats.com paints an even bleaker picture with an underemployment rate of near 23 percent.
Wow the left leaning Huffington post says 16.7-23% unemployment! Of course they do like you boys and try to blame Bush. Does that make it any easier for you to accept Riffy?
unemployment mid 2009 a few months after obama was actually in white house peaked at around 10%.
of course you can try to ignore this and throw out endless facts and figures half bogus and half wrong until everyones eyes glaze over - lying with statistics is a political game old as the hills- but you cant hide from the two simple, clear facts i just cited.
look on it as the conservatives great gift to America, maybe that will help.

Dude is not going to be pleased with you for doing that.

Conrad73: 2.5 years into Obama's Mess, and you still blame Bush! You really must have a Crush on him!
BUSH did a good job - setting the path for destruction of our economy. It's gonna take a lot more than the eight years he hosed us to get back on track ......
jvaski: Well FUD......then maybe you can explain just why Indiana is such a beacon of bright light over California ........
Hundreds of thousands of Indiana residents are unemployed and underemployed. Although the state’s unemployment rate is slightly better than that of its neighboring states, a striking number of people here — a significantly greater percentage than in Illinois or Ohio — have simply left the work force altogether since the dawn of the recession.
For the second year in a row, Hoosiers ranked fifth nationally in personal bankruptcies, at 7.1 people per 1,000 residents. (Illinois came in 11th.) Indiana’s median family income is just 86 percent of that of the rest of the country.
Property tax caps, put in place over the past few years, offer relief to limping homeowners but have pushed school boards and city leaders, they say, into rounds of budget cutting and layoffs.
The governor has streamlined agencies and privatized services, like prison food, printing operations and the state’s toll road — the last reaping $3.8 billion. But Mr. Daniels has made some notable missteps, as well, as when he first handed out and then revoked a contract worth more than $1 billion to determine eligibility for public assistance.
“The idea that we’re an island of prosperity makes for a great image, but I would argue that this is the worst shape the state has been in since the Great Depression,” said Representative B. Patrick Bauer, the Democratic leader in Indiana’s House, which is now controlled, as is the Senate, by Republicans. “We’ve seen drastic cuts to education, to social services, to public employees. We face problems we’re not admitting.”
Spend more! Let Obama print more Fiat-Money! He thinks, and you all think that's the Solution! America has never recovered from the New Deal!
Conrad73: 2.5 years into Obama's Mess, and you still blame Bush! You really must have a Crush on him!

Good you are reminding these folks how thing have been when president Obama took over and what kind of challenges this president have been forced taking cared of back then in january first 2009. These repube heads of planet OZ being Cocoonised back then and all those dark years have willingly forgotten the horrible situation America was in to back then and enjoy waking up all of sudden and blaiming Obama for the whole thing.
Seems like the bin Laden raid kicked up hornet, bee and bumble bee nests in Pakistan. One has to admit that our President Obama does know how to stir the pot to get the stinging critters flying.))
OK so what is going on?
In Pakistan, the pro western commander of the Armed forces was jeered by his corp commanders as he attempted to tell them why the Pakistan/US relationship was important.
The Taliban announced selecting 10 revenge targets in the US and NATO countries for bin Laden death.
The Pakistani intelligence service has been arresting US intelligence assets in the country. Including a DR that lived near the bin laden compound. This after the US offerred to get them out.
A rich Pakistani has made offer to pay bounty on the killing of any American by another Pakistani. Including women, children and elderly.
So as said....the bees, hornets, and bumble bees are flying in the Pakistan.
The question is of course...what is President Obama doing about it? With the relationship of US/Pakistan at its lowest point since 2001 (the 911 attack) and were GWB advisors were telling Musharref we will bomb your country back into the stone age.
One has to ask why the Obama administration continues the facade that things are hunky dory between the two countries? Things ain't good here, as my Grand ma use to say.
Why is the US poring billions into the Pakistani Army and economy to help people that want to kill us? Hey, if we can bring the boys home from Afghanistan, we can bring the dollars home from Pakistan.
Are we paying Pakistan from supplying alQeada with a nuc? Is this nuclear blackmail? When a country can host and hide bin laden for 10 years after the 911 attack, I can think nuclear blackmail is well within their abilities.
To the Obama administration....honesty is the best policy. They need to get honest with the American people. Admit that Pakistan is one big headache with limited number of nucs and close ties to terrorism. Instead of sending Senator Kerry there for a happy face photo session with the Pakistani President.
The Obama administration should have had number of covert operation ready to go on Pakistani turf following the bin Laden raid. I know am doing my version of General Patton here. Instead of be backed down by the internal politics and rhetoric coming from the country.
Instead.....'the war receeds'....and the troops in Afghanistan come home. Oh yea...did I mention, no-one from Pakistan has offerred a apology to the US for hiding and hosting bin Laden for the last 10 years? Since apologizes are so politically correct, I just thought the US deserved one for abetting a mass murder of 3000.

I don't think we should blame President Obama for the whole thing. I think we should all close our eyes...tap our heels twice...and wish the last three years of his administration....never happened.
Hot_Single_Dude: Typichal Republican ! You are loosing hair too boso! Does not mean any thing and is a natural process happening for most men! So typichal of u and ur guys talking BS instead of talking a bout the content of the article
