Raphael, if you give President Obama a new T-Bill Bond issues and all he is going to is sell T-Bills to China. That means, sometime soon....you can be bowing down to a Red Chinese Commissar and asking for rice...........

Rapheal does make a good point here. China with its greater BOP, might be forcing this Debt Ceiling increase on Obama. Think about it. The BOP is like consumer goods purchases. So eventually they reached a point were the Chinese wanted more security. So?
Gov't T-Bills. They are secured by the full weight of the American gov't. Unlike the BOP which is a corporate and business transactions.
So really what Obama is doing is leaning over to the Chinese that want more security in the BOP with acquisition of Fed Gov't T-Bills. So Obama sells the Chinese our T-Bills, so the Chinese will continue to trade commercial goods with us. Which increase the BOP, which forces a debt ceiling increase.
It is a cycle to a sure financial failure, set into play by the Chinese.

Not saying I agree with your post Dude, just sayin....
As I've said many times, I am not a righty or a lefty...I pick them one issue at a time....With respect to the national debt and the "various" ideas about how best to "fix" it I would say a couple of things....Solving our debt crisis will take more than cutting and spending...Non-military discretionary budget has changed little over the last decade......US actually has one of the smallest governments as compared to its' GDP and that of other industrial nations...We also enjoy one of the lowest "personal" income tax rates....The top rate being just 35%....
In 1961 through 63, the "TOP" rate was 91% and the economy saw strong economic growth...1982 through 84, we also saw expansion when the rate was at 50%....In 1993 the top rate was raised from 31% to almost 40% and the US again saw prosperity....Many wealthy have reaped the benefits of the Bush tax cuts, perhaps it is time to give back?...
IMO, our best hope for fiscal responsibility and "fairness" is to eliminate ALL tax deductions and allow the 2003 tax cuts to expire...
Germany is an example to consider...They invest heavily in technologies which helps their industries stay competitive and with only a quarter of our population, they export as much as we do...They have a current unemployment rate that is two-thirds of ours.....

China,s main interst is money and then this coming raise of debt ceiling will not stop them giving more loans to US is US asks for it. Bills got to get paid and America must not get Defualt specially when the economy is weak and when America is the head player of the world economy and every thing is connected in order to get out of the mess.
