Faithe: And smoking can help cause a heartattack, ask Tony he knows. He is one very lucky man to alive. He had a Heart attack over the weekend and has been told he is lucky to be alive. He has a stent put in and is now at home with his daughter recovering. He is going to be ok but the Dr told him if he didnt stop smoking he was a dead man. Thankgod he listened and quit immediatly.

I was wondering where you two got to, i do hope he is recovering well.bouquet

kizzy27: I disagree Martia I think smokers definatley look different they are sallow have worse skin they have wrinkles around their mouths were there should be none (cats bum) their hair is less glossy its stands to reason as they are poisioning their system on a daily basis ....I do agree however that alcohol has detrimental effects also

Well Kiz I suppose I am lucky was a smoker for a lot of years not too many wrinkles yet' nor round the mouth either. It all gets back to genes I suppose.
The worse skin I have seen are the ones that spent a lot of time in the sun, a lot like wrinkled old walnuts.
Sun damage really destroys the complexion.

And you were a smoker for many years am I not correct Kizzy so these were the effects you noticed on yourself then i take it and with all the years of smoking and your age as if i remember you have only given up in last couple of years and good on ya for that.

wine

I smoke still and think I am looking alright for my age and get told by alot that i look alot younger so I guess smoking does more damage to some people than others grin wine

I was a smoker for over 30yrs and I am told I look a lot younger than my age.I promised myself I would never critise others when I gave up as there is nothing worse than a reformed smoker.

Cant tolerate nasty drunks though if it directly affects me.

Other than that live and let live.

Have a great day Tarnsnz.hug teddybear

I can often tell, but not about young people. Once they get into their 30's the colour of their skin changes, the skin looses flexibility and freshness and there are indistinguishable wrinkles around the lips and in the corners of the eyes. I don't mean I pick them every time, but very often. Their voice also changes.

i think it is already medically proven isn’t it?, that smokers show signs of age quicker than their non smoking friends?

I call it a FeeL GooD ... and others appreciate a FeeL GooD, so hey .. My advise is Don'T be believing everything YoU are TolD ... drinking
