Nope. UNless you own your own hosting service, then it doesn't. The hosters of fora, or any social media, have full rights to remove or edit whatever content is on their internet realestate.
How many children have you heard spout something disrespectful, troubling, or wrong and then defend themselves with their kindergarten knowledge of U.S. history, “I have free speech, I can say what I want?” I personally used the excuse extensively when I was young and even today when I work with children, they are quick to become constitutional lawyers when they are silenced. I have come to expect children to use the basic knowledge of what is at their disposal to defend themselves when they are wrong, they don’t know any better. My expectations as of late have changed though. I now sadly expect adults to do much of the same.

There's always a reason, why people start a thread or a poll. The main reason usually is to interact with people..
That is also a good way to improve your social skills!
Hey MrRick, nobody can block you from your own threads or posts. As an original poster you can block us! It would be pretty lonely for you, if you start blocking us. We wouldn't have "freedom of speech" anymore, if we'd get blocked!
jac379: "With freedom of speech, comes responsibility."
Those are the words I've been looking for, for quite some time.
Thank you.
I was about to post these very words when I saw this poll.
Also just because you can doesn't always mean you should.
The problem with free speech on the internet is that people will say things they will never ever say in person because they have to deal with the outcome of what they say right then and there. Seems people have gotten to the point that they will say anything behind a screen. It's really sad.

Personally I think that whatever you put into words on the internet will have a different interpretation from one reader to another.
We are all different thank goodness, and our depth of feeling for a certain subject, may vary quite a lot from person to person.

I think the danger is that users with not much going in their lives forget that they are online and amongst strangers and start to police what is and isn't said.
In theory the internet should be, for better or worse, a bastion of free speech because it's so impersonal and meaningless. It should be a place for differing opinions, heated debates, varieties of humour and experimentation free from the dulling and regimenting effects of politesse and correctness.
