CuddlingSoul: English is the best written language for business, documents, contracts, etc, but all of the languages in the world should exist as part of a country's heritage and right.
I agree to that!
Unfortunately many minority languages die by the time as people stop talking in their own languages. The majority language of a country will always survive like Swedish in Sweden for instance. English is the most important language to communicate world wide and on the Internet, but that doesn't mean English spoken should take it for granted all people can or should communicate in English.
According to the latest released figures of March 2013, the following is a list of the top ten primary spoken languages.
1. Mandarin Chinese - 882 million 2. Spanish - 325 million 3. English - 312 million 4. Arabic - 206 million 5. Hindi - 181 million 6. Portuguese - 178 million 7. Bengali - 173 million 8. Russian - 146 million 9. Japanese - 128 million 10. German - 96 million

chris27292729: The movement to establish Esperanto as a global language, few decades back,failed.-
Yes Esperanto failed to be taken up generally in Europe, and most people agree that English is the accepted European language now. In Finland Swedish used to be the second language, now everyone below the age of 40 speaks English and it is taught in schools, I have also noticed that immigrants from many parts of the world speak English. It also seems to be the language of business and aviation in Europe.

raptor666: what kind of English ? American,australian,indian..british ? English tends to multipolarization ...
Well all languages have different accents and some different words. English certainly isn't unique in that respect. Take Spanish and Mexican - big differences - so I'm told. And I can understand Dutch, but Flemish..... only with difficulty!
