I have India Blues (Pavo Indicus) and Java Green (Pavo muticus muticus) and hybrids called "Spaldings" and they are HUGE and magnificent!

I'm hangin' in there. Hope you're doing well also. I think I will if we can manage it. 
Don't really know if there is a meaning to life but to me it's purpose is for us to have the experiences that help us grow spiritually and eventually learn that what we put out comes back to us so we are the creators of our own journey. This is a very large classroom. It may take many lifetimes to grow enough to become aware of our every move and effect that we have on others. Love is a beautiful resting place to heal and become whole and to become a loving person means that many lessons have already been learned. To love without expectations is a sign of much growth. 
According to some texts, our present birth depends on the "karma" or doing of the past births (some texts deny it) and we are reaping the fruits of the past birth whether good or bad.
In short, we came to this earth empty handed and we are going to go away from this plant empty handed too and only earning or place we get is a small piece of land to bury us and that too depends on the mercy of others.
Meaning or essence of life...Radiate positive energy or vibes to people around us, help them in ways that we can our fellow beings, and make sure that words are not used to hurt other people.

It's little wonder that people feel the meaning of life is the pursuit of happiness...it's even written into the Constitution of the United States.
But as Jung observed, the goal of life is not happiness but meaning. Ironically without suffering from time to time, as we all must, life would become stagnant, without growth. Without spiritual maturation we would remain unconscious, infantile and dependent.
We may experience moments of happiness, but happiness is transitory, cannot be willed, nor perpetuated by hope.
True meaning comes from growth, to experience and go through the 'swamplands' where nature intended we spend a part of our journey and from where the most meaningful moments of our lives derive.
As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the meaning of live is to have a life of meaning. Happiness is part of life but without our inevitable suffering from time to time we could not experience the true journey, the true meaning...to grow, to serve and to love.
