..I.ll have a go a most things.....and sort it out.... .......except this bloody computer.....(eg)...like vocaroo/ trying to put pictures up etc.....etc,,,,,,dam thing,,,,,,,
Home education is the first a child learn, then school education. when the home education fails, parents most of times pretend the school fix their failures. An individual is the result of the enviroment. the rest is learned outside.BUT I have my doubts a person with good fundation and values fail.

Yep. Daddy did the work on the cars mostly. He let me help some but he always insisted I be there even though he didn't need my help, and he'd say "Watch what I do and watch closely." When I asked why he wanted me there is I couldn't really help he'd say "I won't always be around to do it for you, Darlin'." He wasn't well educated, but he was a brilliant man, and a stickler for honor. I was very blessed.

MadBushpig: It will be interesting to note the respective responses to this.
I'd answer "yes" if "learned helplessness" means something like.... they are more dependant on government for most essential and luxury things and that they believe these thing are "guaranteed" and "entitled" from everyone else.
Not at all, I find them aware and very interesting. I place big hopes in the new generations, although it's "politically correct" to think we all live in some mondial fog of morosity.. I find them courageous and creative, and i wish them the best of luck
I wouldn't necessarily consider the new generation as being morons.I would say it has a lot to do with what they're taught.
Back in my son's day some of that particular generation weren't taught life skills like managing checking accounts etc. Some as they reached adult had no idea on how to read a legal document etc.

I still don't know how to do this. Everything just blurs when I read them.

generational improvement, thats the rule, can't argue with nature.
Of course theres always exceptions to the rule.
BTW,what would constitute the "new generation",people born in the last week, month, year, last twenty years? I have no idea, however nature insist on generational improvements, that's true of all things spawned of seed.
