Have just tried Peaches method of walking through the garden barefoot.....apart from it being slightly chilly the grass was sobbing wet...now I have muddy feet.....anyone want a Lick....
RainComeShine: I always look at a man's hands and think 'could I let those hands touch me'.
Bizarre?
Things like lack of grooming would turn me off anyone.
Other than that, I usually have it that someone catches my eye after talking to him. Just good looks (well I'm not blind) isn't enough if he has nothing to say for himself.
Most guys fitting the "good look" category for me usually get me running into the other direction after talking to them.
I have never been a visual person. Women have always asked me out. I never even asked my wife to marry me. It just happened and lasted 17 years. A person is not going to look the same after time. I look for friends to hang out with. If something clicks I'll see where it goes. I look for a woman that I would still enjoy being with 30 years from now.
I did a survey once on whether the eyes were the windows to the soul, (just showing people the eyes of notoriously good and bad people), and no one picked the good guys. Eyes can be deceiving! Body shape changes too with illness etc. You like someone for their hair, or long legs, or smile, and one day they get chemo, or an amputation, or all their teeth out. What do you do then? Is the relationship over?
Does culture here mean how a person behaves, manners etc, or does it mean race? I see 2% voted culture. I'd love to see them explain how they interpreted that on here.
For me what attracts is not any of the choices, but I'd assess someone after a long talk and seeing how they treat people.....

I agree with what you said. Inner character overrides looks when you get to see what kind of a person they are. Negative people put me off and I'll bolt

Ha ha, I think that's a USA thing. My late mum lived there for some years and told me that folk just ask out right if they fancy someone.
No opportunity missed. I passed a nice man whilst leaving a pub beside a spectacular weir yesterday. He had a camera in his hand and our smiles met. OMG if only I'd been arriving and not leaving.

Of course, you are correct.
But this thread specified Visual Attraction, which is why we answered the visual rather than personality.

That is so true KN. I think that's why I go straight to the hands but ultimately we have to talk. The first sentence is usually enough but it's not visual which is where the animal stuff is still in control of us ie instinct.

We would be a bit slower on the uptake here too.
If somebody you were passing on the street asked you out, you'd think they were crazy, and rush away!

I thought about that one Molly. If someone were to say to me'do you fancy talking with me for a bit?' I just would but if someone says 'you have a lovely face' or 'You have lovely eyes' then I would indeed walk away at a brisk pace.

I have a body type which does it for me, but if a guy does it for me it's not important - other if it's really bad.
Letting out the "animal" from time to time isn't bad either RCS.
