kidatheart: I'm not sure, my post had nothing to do with "brotherhood", I'm neutral in this whole mess. I'm just glad to hear the other side for a change, most threads of this nature are one sided. Not that it ever stops the pack of jackals mentality among all too many posters on here.

Anyway, this should have never been posted in the forums in the first place, this is a private matter and should either be resolved in email, in person, or dropped and forgotten about altogether.

It's simply poor taste.

I was looking forward your answer. Why only men are bothered with this kind of polls? " All Quiet on the Western Front".
Thank you for your poll in agreement or not.

Best regards!

Threads of this nature have always bothered me, regardless of whether it was a woman or a man that posted it.

As for your "why only men" comment....my guess is that many of the women here don't actually like men, and enjoy the drama, man bashing, and associated gossip when a thread like this comes along. If you read the forums regularly, going back for years, you'll see it for yourself. It goes both ways, and I'd also guess that are quite a few women that don't like threads like this either.

I'm glad you posted this H. thumbs up This thread should not have been posted at all. Exposing people and the dirty laundry business doesn't belong in the open forums. I found it rather uncomfortable to read this stuff.

so the woman is stupid, the one paying all the bills, doing the work in the home, outside the home...??? I love my favorite quote " What u see in other's is always true of your self first." I would just say it really depends on the situation.

Hi Kid--hope you get this as it is a tad later than the op. It isn't ok for either a man or a woman to be a parasite, as you say. I do believe that domestic homemaking is as valid as working a paid job, providing that is what both parties are in agreement on. The best case scenario if this is what is wanted is for the homemaker in the relationship to have at least a minimally part-time job, perhaps a day a week or two half days, so he/she has pocket money they don't have to rely on the other one for. Or, for the money-earner to actually pay the stay-at-homer an agreed upon weekly/bi-weekly amount, because home economics is a legitimate job. But you are right, it is not OK for one to just be a couch potato and a ne'er do well.

This deadbeat waste of time good for nothing layabout who sits in his underpants all day eating chocolate biscuits and drinking cider, while the rest of us work our fingers to the bone sweating blood and tears should be totally ashamed of himself.
He should be paraded in public all day long wearing a t shirt explaining how lazy he is.
Then he should be put in the stocks and have rotten fruit thrown at him until bedtime,,at which point he should have supper of bread and water before being made to sleep on a filthy mattress with only a duffel coat for a blanket...professor
How dare this undesirable individual breathe the same air as normal folk...
I am in all seriousness only being sarcastic here....
Whether hes lazy or not, rich or poor, being totally supported by a woman or anyone else....
I dont think its fair to assume he is either Mentally ill,,a Parasite,a good for nothing or any other of the unpleasant titles hes had assigned to him.....
I know a good few people (men and women) who are supported by theyre partners.
Doesnt make them Parasites, mentally ill etc....bouquet

laugh I'm not sure if the allure was about chocolate digestives and cider or the fact that he's to be paraded in public all day long wearing a t-shirt explaining how lazy he is and being put in the stocks to have rotten fruit thrown at him until bedtime. All I know is that I think you've missed your calling as a stand up comedian. conversing laugh

I think she needs to move on because she is making his problem hers.
An alcoholic often has what they call an enabler or facilitator and in some way it sounds like she is his enabler. What would he do if she weren't around? Find another facilitator I would think. Ps you are on to a loser trying to help.

I'm a "cougar" since I met someone 15 years younger than I, but he works and I expect him to work. I don't want, nor need, anyone to "take care of"sigh
