Nope -- not for me...JMO - romantic relationships take time and presence to develop - it would be impossible to make that important of a decision in a few visits - I'm not a rich woman, can't afford the constant travel back and forth and I wouldn't ask someone else to if I couldn't carry my end of the deal. I guess I'm more of a realist than a romantic....

Long distance is almost the norm. Sometimes it is to another country very far away.

Anyways,, my brother met his wife in Indonesia. He has a great family. He met her online. it take guts sometimes to meet some one in their country,,but it is totally fun. However,,,do a lot of reading in between the lines on email and chat,,,also when u talk to them on the phone. Just have to be smart about about it.

Disagree completely. You can become infatuated at first glance, but that hardly qualifies as love. You fall deeply in love with a person through sharing and spending time together. I voted yes, for the simple fact, love is love, whether its near or far. If you truely love someone, distance is but a thing. However, I do feel it has it's limitations in that, sometimes, love isn't enough and the point for more comes and sometimes it's impossible for you to be w/ one another.
I say go for it, but don't get your set your expectations too high because , it's never a 100% sure thing until you know for a fact that you can be w/ one another.

I met a woman locally, but I moved 2000 miles away. When I can't fly there, I will fly her here. We'll see each other every couple of months.

The long distance must be seen as temporary laps of time between moments of togetherness. Even when those laps are much longer then the hours spent close.

I had a long distance relationship she lived in singapore and me Texas.....She came to the states for her first time was here on a 90 day visa....I then went and visited her in Singapore....But long distance still puts a strain on relationships though...I still think of her often.

i totally agree with you.ive learnt my lesson now. ive been trying so hard to get over my ex online bf. its only matter of time ..im much happier now and more focus on what i want in the future
