demonfairy: Some people seem to find love on line, others are not so lucky.Lets be honest it is not as easy as it sounds to find a partner. Is it because we ask questions on line that would take us months to ask in real life, because we learn more about the person behind the face... What do you think?
I think its because of many things..One is because some people might have very picky or very unrealistic expectations and another is maybe there are so many choices some people get caught up in wanting to see if they can keep getting better ones? I basically figure if I make a friend then great, if I find my soulmate then even better..I guess I've chilled out in the last year because it isnt worth it worrying about if I will find the one or not.?

sultryash: Distance and trust yes
I agree with the distance issue, but trust can be an issue even if you live in the same house with someone. It all depends on the values and dedication of the couple involved in the relationship.
I could basically write a book about online dating ...lol ! Sometimes a long distance relationship can result in what I call culture shock . Its just too drastic of a change . Been there , done that and the book will one day be written . ! People can be who ever they want here online , but will they meet your expectations when you first lay eyes upon them ? But most importantly will that special feeling still remain after years gone by ? You can be like me and wear your heart on your sleeve and eventually learn to cover it up a bit .The wounds take quite some time to heal . Like the rest of anything in our lives it becomes an experience , hopefully a better one than worse. Good luck in your search everyone . All I can say is date safely !...Pete

Good morning girl!
My opinion to your poll/question is:
Too many selections in the "candy store".
They don't want this one or that one, because there may be a better one on the other isle. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!
To select one from the Net, is making it too easy to just sit on their thumbs up their, *ss, and let the good ones get away !
Just My Sunday Morning Opinion!
Might have a better answer if you ask me again, after I've checked my sugar level, had my shot, taken 12 med-pills, checked Blood Pressure, checked e-mail...and had my coffee!
marc62: Do you think that the part of your prifile that says "Not looking for a match just here for the banter.." might have something to do with that?
you must first be neked, then pay the fee, in other words just lay there for a quick three seconds..... then and only then, i may consider letting ya take the quad for a ride !!!!
MetalMilitia: nice try but thats not the proper procedure....you must first be neked, then pay the fee, in other words just lay there for a quick three seconds..... then and only then, i may consider letting ya take the quad for a ride !!!!
scottyburd: No as i havent had that on my profile that long
Ah, OK. I expected a reply more like "OMG! I wrote that three years ago when I first joined and completely forgot about it!"
Well, if I was in Glasgow I'd happily invite you out, so again, distance, distance, distance. Of course, even if I was there, you might decline the invitation, so perhaps not only distance.

marc Thats a nice thing to say, distance seems to be the main problem here,i decided to concentrate on the forum banter and not bother with the dating side of CS for the moment..

demonfairy: Have you noticed on the local sites, that you e-mail back and forth, then when it gets close to time to meet each other you don't hear from them any more..when they do that i get the feeling that they weren't trueful
It has happened to me once - I guess they just chicken out!

You hit the nail on the head with your list alone. For me tomany scammers out there messing it up for the honest people out there. just going to keep on going.
It´s a game with many people, maybe not intentionally for some, but whatever, somebody gets hurt usually as we´ve all seen here on CS many many times.
Forums are relatively safe for discussing and debating issues, the occasional feel good factor flirt, and making a few genuine pen-pals, if you choose wisely, along the way. Not much else as far as I have seen.
