No single country in the world.....could or has done....anything like what the United States has done in its a short 246 years. None has sent a man to the moon. None has built the great cities like the United States has. Or has fought and won the wars that the US has.
You can talk about European crowns and courts.....and none comes close to Washington DC in the springtime with Cherry blossoms. You can talk about the Dynasties of Japan and China that made a wall or code of behavior. We have a wall that is greater. We did not invest a dime or 1000s of people deaths to make it. It is the great Rockie mountains.
Our ethics and acheievement in the sciences. in the arts, in engieneering, in law are by most held in high esteem. You can talk about the Zulu warrior of Africa and how they conquered a continent. This country has fougth and help win two world wars and so many brush fire wars that I have lost count. Only Pearl Harbor and 911 ever significantly touched our shores.
I dare say...if IBM and Bill Gates...both American....did not do what they did.....we wold not be having this blog today. The enlightened innovation of America....is so deep and rich.....that the rest of the world should be ashamed for being asleep for the some 2000 years till modern time. No country in the world feeds so many inside or outsides it borders, than the US.
What scares the many around the world today....tf hat if the US regains its economic legs and I think that it will.....that another race of economic achievement will occur. One that they know will be lost.....

If you have not figured this out, Juan. Why did Obama take the technical investigation and hearing of the BP accident/events from the Coast Guard and the Interior department...the two agencies that regulate offshore vessels and assign well fields and drilling locations?
Then he gives the technical investigation to a White House Commission of 7, headed by a attroney?
Also why was this White House Commission only mandated to investigate the BP accident and not the Gov't response?
When we get answers on those.....we can talk of why the 30b in BP fund for Gulf Coast claims has slowed to a trickle......
