ttom500: He is only shooting himself in the foot, Jaun. The more he does...the bigger the hole becomes. If Congress repeals Obamacare...he veto its. Then what?
He just rejected the mandate of the American people that just place the REP into office. Aim and pull the trigger. Same on deficit legislation to limit the size of gov't. A veto puts another round in the chamber for a self inflicted wound in 2012.
So he needs to be smart here. Some...he can veto. I am saying bend over the sign everything that comes to his desk. But.....others.......that veto is going to hurt politically.

Most of us who voted for him still feel he needs to re-grow some balls and kick the republicans back out of washington !
History will show that republicans brought us back to the dark-ages with principles and policies that simply fail in a modern society and global arena.........

How well did that work the first two years, Juan? DEM ran a single party government.....and see what it got the country. You got one major piece of legislation passed. Only after so many insider political games were played....that Congress approval rating feel like a rock.
Think compromise, Juan. Or in 2012.....the Tea party only gets bigger.....
They will slice and dice both REP and DEM and build a larger base. More canidates....so? Take your your bitter pill....deal with the REP now or deal with the fully grown Tea party in 2012. That would capture 1/3 of Congress. and 10-12 seats in the Senate.
ttom500: The liberal media.....that tried so desperately to swing this election to the DEMs....just had a major wake up call. They see them selves fighting over the 30% dedicate liberals and hard DEMs market in the country for market share. While FOX goes on its merry way.....collecting dissatified DEMs. MOD, Tea Party and REP.....which is the great share 70% in the country. Can Murdock make a business choice, or can Murdock make a business choice!
Am thinking here....by the 2012....MSNCB will be down to a single producer, cameraman and reporter. Broadcasting from a RV. The View will be holding tryouts for replacements for Joy and Whoopie. NPR will begging Juan Williams to renew his contract. And the White House...says sir.... to Bill ORielly, every time they talk about him.
Yeah I have heard Robert Murdoch and his guys are trying to figur out a wat taking over msnbc and other media who are bringing stuff from both sides and not from Republicnas only... but still... I really doubt Murdoch being able doing that but his trying forcing America all to one direction politically is rahter scarey... Berlusconi have succeded doing this in Italy unfortunatily but his days on politics will be over and out as well some day I am sure. Money is a dirty thing and can buy just a bout any thing but not the honor and integritiy of most human beings

Someone better by MSNBC. The only ones watching are the camera crews and you.
ttom500: REP take on evil around the world, Dudester. Sharia is not just evil here, it is evil in the Middle east as well.
Not having Sharia Law in the US is not because the US is a sectular country, it has more faiths and beliefs than many other others. But when one failh expose a legal system that is counterdictory to the founding principles of the country and to human rights. Then there is little reason to let it into the country.
When GWB said there wasa axis of evil....Iran was one that he identified. Part of the reason he did was because of its embrace of Sharia Law. Just like bin Laden embraces it. With such law any kind of clerical ruling can be made to bring a 911 terrorist attack on a country.
What you identify as religion....is not Sharia Law. Remember Sharia Law came about three hundred years after Mohammad the Prophet and the Quran. They had a 300 year golden age of Islam and then messed it up with Sharia Law.
From here?
Not my job to figure out the policy. My job just to find the threats. Sharia Law is one of the biggest threat to world's progressing. So junk it globally. Oklahoma banning Sharia law is just start it here for the country. President Obama has his choice to make...I explained it to him the finding papers.
Oklahoma vote 70-30 to ban it. If he picks to support Sharia Law, he picks a 30% position....that got him and into the DEM into the same trouble for teh mid term. The rest of the country is in same area. Oklshoms is part of the Bible belt.
Dude, I know that this a courageous thing for President Obama to do. He will be consider a apostate Muslim converted to Christianity that brought peace to the middle east....and fought against Sharia Law. I respect that greatly. But just maybe this is his destinety?
I am sure americans generally are agree a but reoegion must never given too much influence in shaping americna way of life and freedom of relegion does not mean bowing down with beleifs not belonging to the 21.st century what so ever TT. Still... america got a lot of other problems taking care of and Republicans trying to bring Sharia law and using endless discussions regarding some thing which is not there any way when all counts is a great waiste of time.
Several european political parties are trying the exact same all over Europe as well and trying to make left winged looking bad doing so... when ever left winged in Europe trying to talk a bout the human rights of muslim minorities, right winged talking a bout "what did we tell you? they want Sharia law in this country"
It is rather wsie not to get fooled by Republicnas and their propoganda and making them start talking more important issues and more serious issues and more real for America... your guys got the majority they wanted... it is time for action and it is time to show your guys Really want to help america going forward or not.

You know what I think we are going to see in media the next two years?
You are going to see the biggest flip flob of media in the hstory of the country. As they anayslis these mid term results. Either liberal reporters are going to swing to the middle. Or faced with falling rating, they are going to get axed.
They are going to be leading to interveiw conservative canidate ..like Palin, huckabee, Grinrich, in droves after this mid term. Which is more exposure for REP and Tea Party. Think that Palin would give a interview to Katie Couric right now? Not on you life! Palin would jam the invite in her eye......
Honest...locally...I could only name one DEM canidate that ran in the local election. All the rest were hiding the fact that they were DEMs.
As media walks away.....from them......we are going to hear less and less from them. Media goes were the story is. The big political story today...is the new conservative movement in the country....and the rebound of the REP party.
DEM are about to lose the media war......maybe already have.
Hot_Single_Dude: Wow! Good for you Serpenta! I wish you a Great holdiay !Do not forget to come by over here when you are back... CS will miss you I am sure
Hahaha.. I'll log in once and a while to stay up dated!
Smilerguy: benefits are no solution but with the jobs goin abroad, would Republicans prefer if good American families starve, borrow, steal, fight for food? is it a race to the bottom?
I say we go the food stamp route then. It was Pelosi who said for every $1.00 spent on food stamps, it returns $1.42.
At that rate, every American can be rich!!!! (like her business minded hubby)
Are you out of your mind? Instead of channeling all your energy into your love for Obama, why not spend time learning how to spell?
"More equality" huh? Yeah, right.
Democrats - THE BIG LEVELERS. SPREAD THE WEALTH. EVERYONE SHOULD BE EQUAL. I THINK NOT.
There are different classes in society for a reason. People who work hard to get ahead, and those who just sit around, waiting for the government to offer them all kinds of programs so they can live off of the rest of us. TAKE INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE; DON'T WAIT FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO TAKE CARE OF YOU. THAT'S WHY WE ARE IN SUCH DEBT, GET IT?????SPEND, SPEND, SPEND.
Why not take an interest in politics in your OWN country????? Please?????

Keith Olbermann Suspended for Giving Political DonationsUpdated: 22 minutes ago .Print Text Size Print this page|EmailShare on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on DiggShare on Lifestream Andrea Stone Senior Washington Correspondent
AOL News (Nov. 5 ) -- Here's one story you will be talking about tomorrow.
MSNBC liberal talk show host Keith Olbermann has been suspended indefinitely without pay from MSNBC after his boss learned he had violated newsroom policies by giving campaign contributions to three Democratic candidates for Congress.
That is the same Keith Olbermann who pummeled Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. for giving $1 million to the Republican Governors Association in order to buy "campaign influence."
Keith Olbermann acknowledged in a statement that he donated to three Democratic congressional campaigns this year. Oops.
In a terse statement today, MSNBC TV President Phil Griffin said, "I became aware of Keith's political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay."
The news that the liberal flamethrower had thrown cash to three congressional candidates was first reported by Politico.
Olbermann acknowledged in a statement that he made the donations:
"One week ago, on the night of Thursday October 28 2010, after a discussion with a friend about the state of politics in Arizona, I donated $2,400 each to the re-election campaigns of Democratic Representatives Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords," Olbermann said. "I also donated the same amount to the campaign of Democratic Senatorial candidate Jack Conway in Kentucky."
Olbermann said he did not use his influence to solicit donations from others for the candidates. "I did not privately or publicly encourage anyone else to donate to these campaigns, nor to any others in this election or any previous ones, nor have I previously donated to any political campaign at any level," Olbermann said. The shocking news, as the often holier-than-thou commentator might put it, came at an interesting time. Three days earlier, stung by ridicule at last week's Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear, Olbermann said he would shelve his trademark daily segment, "Worst Persons in the World."
Add another to the unemployment list maybe? At least it won't be another Californian.
Hot_Single_Dude: Lady Pelosi is a very honorable personality, a great leader and a true patriot because she stood strong on true american values and did a great job.
Even one Nose hair of this great american personality is worth more than the whole entire GOP
Voters have sent a major AH taking over the important job of the speaker if the House now.... Dang! but still time changes and in democracies no body can stay on power for ever
A great personality and I do not give a Damn a bout Repube heads succeded to blaim this lady for what ever disasters Republicans brought upon America...

Smilerguy: Hahah true, the Repubicons wrapping the flag around themselves & using fear alone will not help them win in 2012 when the jobless stop fearing & start looking again for solutions
