The evidence is in genome sequencing. That's solid. The east coast got the virus from travelers between Europe and the US.
Perhaps a change in governor will eventually help. But, FL does have more than it's share of extreme right dopes.
Well, it will be the last one "in the past 10 years". But, you are right, it won't be the last virus that (collectively) infects us. Both China and the US (Trump and his enablers) attempted to cover it up, which is criminal. Hopefully, we will have a more honest president (how could we not) next time. His record total lies while in office is well over 10,000 now. The ones about Covid-19 and his failure at leadership in dealing with it, led to many people dying. What a shame that his enablers in the senate did not do the right thing and remove him from office. Hopefully the voters will in November.
True. But, that does not mean that it has mutated the part that is involved with a vaccine. Regardless, we should not assume that any vaccine is effective for life. We don't assume that for current vaccines. Some, like the flu, are updated yearly against several strains.

Your 'worries' seem quite late. NJ is well below the peak. Unlike the "so-called" president, I have absolutely no connection to the Chinese, nor communists. The Chinese vaccines are still in trials. I would advise no one to get vaccinated until trial results are in.
In my opinion it would be reasonable, that in this type of case, the money provided to them to fund such research in a profitable endeavor should be paid back from the profits with interest to be used for other future grants.
OG - Those who refuse vaccination will be more susceptible to infection. Thus more of them will get infected and die, or recover. People who are vaccinated will be mostly unaffected by them. Unfortunately, some of the unvaccinated will essentially act to be a reservoir for the virus and therefore increase persistence of the virus in the population. Thus, annual vaccinations are advised.
To all - I would not count vaccines, before the trials are over and the vaccines are produced in quantity. However, progress is being made. So, hope is not unwarranted.
Me - I did post a blog yesterday about the emerging second wave in the USA, which likely is due in part to both a rush to re-open and lack of social distancing during protesting and police actions to such.
CC - diversity is a good thing. It brings a variety of ideas and accomplishments. While that's more to be sorted, it's more remedies to be considered and thus more appropriate solutions available. The problem is when closed-minded people do not consider another idea and chastise and/or take other inappropriate actions against those who appear different for that 'reason'. One of the reasons that the US has been a world leader (until Trump) has been that diversity.
c_r - So, in your opinion there has only been one black man unjustly killed by police ?
Like you, I suspect that both protesters & police they encountered & interacted with likely added to the Covid-19 problem, but too hasty re-opening also likely added to it. However, note that NY & NJ, former hotbeds for Covid-19 are dropping in cases. They too had & have very active protests, as did a lot of the nation. Nonetheless, hopefully infection tracing will reveal data giving a better handle on actual sources.
You may also notice that Texas & Florida are not cold weather states at this time (nor is most of California). Quite the contrary. Thus, we can rule out the previous false claim by the "so-called" president, that it would be gone with the warmer weather (in April).
Without a doubt both grammar schools & high schools have done so, as have families. Upbringing is definitely contributory, as are who the child chooses are friends. Some people continue to grow to experience and to learn. Others choose to remain relatively unchanged and some even regress. And it's not as simple as all that. Obviously, different people grow to different extents and in different directions as do those who regress.
As a real (too) simple example, that most people can appreciate. Think how many people cite their favorite music as that which was popular from when they were in...i.e. high school.
I hope so too. But change rarely happens without much effort & time. It may take a generation or more for society to improve significantly. But, perhaps steps in that direction will be undertaken much sooner.
His reign should be near over. We will know in November. After which, he should be a 'lame duck'. Hopefully the motivation for improvement with the younger voter will remain long after the protests stop. Maybe it will and maybe it won't. One of my favorite quotes is that "change is inevitable, growth is possible". Growth is long overdue.
The media didn't make the answers to the questions. They just reported the answers.
Perhaps Maya did fire him. Perhaps Chauvin was the only one available who also somehow got control of a police vehicle for years while not being on duty. :dunno Perhaps more answers will come out in court. The media was not the one who strangled Floyd. The media simply seeks answers and reports them as they get them.
Clearly, some have not, some refuse to, and some may even be incapable of doing so. In any large population there is a broad range in the amount of intelligence that humans possess. Every individual does not have the same ability, nor desire to learn.
New York & other US states make changes to improve the policing problems.
