Lgs, I was impressed with the way you dealt with the layoff and kept busy and also kept a great attitude. I'm really glad you've found another job. I hope it's a great position for you.
Off the wall kinda names are all the rage. I used to buy some great salsa by the brand "Frog Ranch". Of course, since I discovered something I really liked the store stopped carrying it.
Will if the zombie invasion wins out, it will likely start close to me. After all, I live very near where the first zombie movie was filmed. Good 'ole George Romero!
What most people don't know is that overweight is often not the result of overeating. The increase in the amount of chemicals via pesticides and additives in processed foods takes a toll on the thyroid, rendering it unable to produce the hormones needed to control body functions leading to overweight, high cholesterol and heart disease and cancer. Among other things. Furthermore, consumption of wheat and other foods that have been tampered with for years result in a long list of ailments.
What's worse is that the diagnosis of thyroid problems is so often never made due to ignorance on the part of the medical community of a function that is so basic to our health.
Before you decide to judge a person's appearance and make presumptions about them, you may want to consider that if you enjoy your toast for breakfast, a sandwich a lunch, and pizza and beer for dinner and enjoy produce nicely pestized... you may soon be the one being judged.
I've never seen whtwhb to be deliberately hurtful or mean to anyone here. Sometimes he's blunt in his opinion, but never cuts anyone down. That's one reason I always read his blogs. Would be nice if more behaved like him.
I agree with you , GoDaniel. It's an appropriate time and place to remember the national tragedy suffered with the attack on the WTC. And to keep the families and friends of those lost in our thoughts and prayers.
Both men and women need the freedom to be who they are, within the boundaries of respect for others and self-respect and God given rights. If men and women both valued their own gender for their gifts and abilities and valued the opposite gender for theirs then a much larger percentage of marriages would be happy ones. There would be fewer divorces and fewer eternally single people wishing they were not.
LadyDiz, this is so true. There is currently a movement called 'Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment'. It's grown to all 50 states. This situation and the impending disaster called obamacare is causing the numbers to grow.
Indeed, the man who's shoes seem always to be on top of the white house furniture is a puppet who'd rather be out on a golf course or making another self-aggrandizing speech than doing any actual work. The puppeteer is never far from his side. In fact, golf guy made at least 2 visits to her home at Marta's Vinyard while on vacation recently. No doubt she reports directly to George Soros.
Reminds me of a quote from a great TV show (Life, episode titled "One"). It's a quote from one of Charlie Crews' zen tapes:
"What we learned as children, that one plus one equals two, we know to be false. One plus one equals one. We even have a word for when you, plus another, equals one. That word is love."
You make a good point, ken. People would be surprised at how other cultures/ races shun mixed marriages.
I lived in the south for a while in the 70's. It seemed like people there were still fighting the civil war. Animosity between whites and blacks was intense. I hope it isn't still that bad?
Heroic...I doubt there will come a time when all people are multiracial, but who knows. You may be right. My parents are from different countries and so are my kid's parents. Guess that makes me a curvy girl that's ahead of the curve?
St Elmo and Bogart...I used the word expert not her. I needed a catchy title for my blog.
She makes some good points and she's obviously pointing out what she sees as the flaws in the thinking of Indians, particularly Punjabi's...or so it seems to me.
RE: interesting day
That's a tongue twister! How 'bout "Greengo Salsa"?
