I've been to other cities, but I will only mention San Antonio, Charleston (SC) and Pittsburgh as fav's. I envy merri...she's been to Barcelona. Hope to go there one day.
Mia, a talent is a gift. For instance, some people have a talent for singing because they have a beautiful voice. Some people are very good at math. Those are talents. Referring to the hidden part of a person only means that there is a lot to know about a person. That does not mean there is something bad hidden. Nobody was talking about anything bad.
Amus, you didn't start any wars. Have you ever heard the expression that someone is "an accident waiting for a place to happen"?
Well some CS bloggers are a war waiting for a place to wage. It's just that way.
As long as your conscience is clear, don't worry too much about some of the responses that you receive.
Also, there are many people here for which English is not their native language. I have much respect for their willingness to communicate with others in a language that they do not fully comprehend. It's inevitable that sometimes what is written is misinterpreted. Sometimes we have to take that into consideration before we react to a response.
Mia, you are right. It is the bloggers right to disable comments. But it's frustrating for everyone else when they cannot post a response. It's kind of like the kid that comes to the sandbox with his toys and then refuses to share. Just sayin'.
Before I lost my cat, Smokey, in June I never understood the depth of feeling experienced at the loss of a pet. I now understand that not only 2 legged animals have souls.
Stormy, I think we've all of us had this happen to us. Many times over... The truth is that all of the responses you have received are correct and I am sure there are many more responses that apply.
Notsoplainjane, that's a good one! Hopefully, something will come to you. Are there any popular types of toys in the Philippines that you could misfit?
Frankie, a blame it on obama doll may not be a great market move. That would likely be so heavily taxed that you wouldn't be able to get it off your shelves!
Hi Calli, sorry didn't mean to ignore you. The guy in question seems like a real cuddly guy, but his profile indicates he's not looking for a long-term type of relationship. In any case, he hasn't contacted me to express an interest beyond the very sweet complement he paid me. But then again, I can be dense at times and perhaps I missed something?
My misfit toy will be a doll that always forgets things. His keys, his cell phone, where he put his social security card, where he left his hearing aids, WHERE HE LEFT HIS KEYS AND WALLET! I have always forgotten where I put things. And it's not a recent old age thing. I always have forgotten.
Then he goes up and down the stairs looking in areas he knows he hasn't put the lost item and suddenly it appears when you pick up a newspaper or a magazine!
Ed, that's awesome. I guess getting old makes us a bit of a human misfit, doesn't it? So would your toy come with a pre-approved AARP card? I actually had to google that 'cuz I couldn't remember what that group was called!
Frankie, I love your misfit toy series! Maybe the obama doll could come with vacationing type accessories like a surfboard and a lady's bicycle? And don't forget a golf bag with golf clubs. You could design a golf cart for your obama inaction doll!
RE: Top 5 City's you have ever been
I've been to London and Paris but alas, I don't remember them.
