RE: The Christmas Incarnation of Jesus

Calli, Serendipity did not say that God instructs us to celebrate Christmas. He only says that as Christians we DO celebrate Christmas because of the significance of Jesus birth.

Whether or not it originated as a pagan holiday is immaterial (to me, anyway) as it is what is in our hearts that makes the celebration a meaningful and Christ-centered observance. gingerbread

RE: Do good men still exist?

I heard a rumour that all of the good (single) men were turned into garden gnomes and now live out their lives decorating lawns in various fashions and positions. danceline danceline danceline danceline danceline danceline danceline

RE: is there anyone here...............

I'm always a little annoyed when someone says to "be yourself". Like, who else could I possibly be? Sheesh. dunno

RE: Relationship Endings

Great question, Cold. In fact, I wish this was a required profile question. I would much prefer to avoid those who view relationships as being as disposable as a used Wal-Mart shopping bag with a rip in it.

It's a given that some relationships should be ended without possibility of future contact. Those would include relationships that were hostile and or abusive or harmful in some way.

Other relationships may have been very peaceful, but must be ended because you have come to realize it does not have a future. In those cases, a friendship could remain. Unless there is no interest of a friendship on both parts and in that case it would be best to wish each other well and say goodbye.

In any case, when a relationship ends, wouldn't it be wise to take some time off and do some soul searching? Could we have done something better? Could we have taken things slower? Could we have chosen more carefully? Maybe, just maybe before we rush into the arms of a replacement we could consider the above before rushing to break someone else's heart and/or our own?

RE: Lovely.

I love the way you think, Timotie! And again, you are right.

RE: Gift

Not always, Timotie. wow

RE: GUESS WHAT?

Denial is a miserable thing, Kash. A good friend can help you get through it much better.

Does your inside match your outside?

Timotie, with so many bloggers from so many parts of the world it can be confusing to know if a comment is serious or is humour. grin

Does your inside match your outside?

Soul, I'd rather not be rated...that's kinda like assigning someone to a box, right? grin

In any case, I thank you for the compliment. Oh wait, you're not a spammer are you??? spam angel

Does your inside match your outside?

Nessa, we can't help what we like, can we? grin

RE: Hurt

Sometimes chocolate cake can hurt you. Costco has such a chocolate cake that we call it "death by chocolate" cake. It's great with coffee, but only in very small doses. banana

RE: Gift

Hello Timotie

I agree with you. Honour, respect, attention and care...all together is quite a gift. applause

RE: A blog for the dossers .

It's ok, Houston. As I said, the x is not a part of my current life. My point was not that I dwell on him, but that I feel no need to forgive him. I am the one that wanted out of the marriage. I got out and now I'm fine.

I mentioned the x in the context of this dumping bin in humour and with Roseanne Barr! Nothing more. cool

RE: A blog for the dossers .

I figured that, z. It had the same effect on me.

RE: Favorite Man Blog....Who is your favorite man ever

Martin Luther King. Yes, I'm serious. I admire his bravery and gift with words.

RE: A blog for the dossers .

Houston, I get what your saying. I really don't think about my x very often. It's as if he was part of a former life. When I do think of him, it isn't pleasant. He was in the wrong. He blamed me for his actions. And he never apologized. I can forget him easily enough. Forgiving him is another matter.

RE: A blog for the dossers .

Jedwardber or Just in Jedward??? Either way, it's a sinking ship with no life jackets!

RE: A blog for the dossers .

That's a good place to be, Houston.

I'm thinking Jedward and Justin Bieber are triplets separated at birth.

Raj, I love that! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the inventor of the butter stick was a man. rolling on the floor laughing
