Of course, women are as different in their preferences as men. Most people are a combination of quiet and reserved; and funny and outgoing perhaps with an emphasis on one side or the other. Or they may be balanced between the two.

This is so very true. Each of us should ask ourselves if and to what degree we may be allowing past experiences to effect current and potential relationship and be open to more positive experiences.
I think if a relationship feels like work, then you may want to reconsider the relationship. When you care about someone, you want to understand them and you want to be able to relate to them. You want to help them grow as a person and you want them to help you grow. That isn't work. That is love.

Second, certain types of people force us to learn to overcome our natural tendencies to cut them down to size! In other words, by the wrong actions of others we can learn self-discipline...hence we may grow up ourselves.
Bogart - It really is interesting. I love what he said: "life creates the universe, and not the other way round". So thought provoking. And really, it makes sense. As Serendipity likes to say "something cannot come from nothing".

The important thing about a person is his/her character. Honesty, empathy, placing God and family first and honour are what are most important to me.
