Stuffing a bird for Christmas

Being a mere man & not particularly strong in the culinary department, I'm looking for some suggestions on how I might go about stuffing a bird this Christmas, I'm given to understand there are some procedures to go through before you can actually get on with stuffing, some I hear like to make sure the bird is thoroughly clean before rubbing olive oil all over the skin, any ideasdunno

oh la la monsieur zmountain you have to turn the bird over few times and keep it moisten all the way through the cooking do not let it dry or go to hot as it might burn so keep on checking the temperature all the time as for the stuffing do not forget to include thyme in it i suppose i am not an expert i just guess
Teddy, aah so you use your beard as a brush when preparing your bird wow rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
OK Mandarine, I'll make sure I whack the heating up, I wouldn't the bird to get cold, never knew you had to keep turning them over to stop them getting dry, you learn something new on CS everydaywink rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
yes zmountain you could be right about the turn over the bird might be better if left undisturbed one position only might be better
