When guys get upset they go all quiet, retreat away and sulk... Solution.. Pamper the egos and then they are fine.
When women get upset the body language tells you they are upset.... Solution... Wait patiently for the number of days it takes for normal service to resume.
If women hug and praise guys that are upset, guys return the hugs believing what is said, so all is well.
If men hug and praise women that are upset, women do not return the hugs believing what is said is all BS, said for the express purpose of calming the situation... revert to solution in paragraph two!
Yeah fine if you live in a perfect world, but in reality this is a very naive point of view. We all make mistakes and do unto others what we know we wouldnt like to be done unto ourselves... a bad word or thought, the "loose if you snooze" attitude as you cut in front of a car thats not going as fast as you want too.
I accept the value of the list you detailed but each is flawed because we ourselves are flawed.

A person that has made the most of life's opportunities that presented themselves.
I do not consider age to be a factor, in many instances (like my own) a "full" life has been achieved at an early age, the after years are a consolidation and appreciation of the life one has experienced.
