I don't know if there are any " real " men here but I can sometimes put up a good imitation. I can also say that I'm almost housebroken and I do come with my own feeding dish. While we are on the subject, what's for dinner?
The meeting between Trump and N. Korea might not be all his doing. The sanctions that have been slowly destroying his country are probably going to end in revolt from not only the populace but the military as well. I also suspect that there is no longer any support from China to carry him anymore. China is the only ally they have and as such his ranting about nuclear war is only hurting their economy.
Trump got lucky to be president now and will no doubt take credit for events as they unfold. The actual mastermind of this " show " could be Kim Jung Ill and his gamble on nukes and missiles to deliver them. He actually does not need them as it would be devastating to his country in an all-out nuclear war. He gives up something that looks important but actually isn't and gains big in all other areas. I really do not think that " brilliant " is the word to describe Trump but it could be applied to Kim.
Life is not that easy, but it doesn't have to be that hard. I can and is what you make it when you have the opportunity to do so. It sometimes is a co-operative effort so just thinking of yourself will not do. You can not have a callous regard for the environment, as this is what will affect how and where you live. The choices you make when given the chance will hurt or help you to various degrees.
Life is neither reward or punishment but a collection of joys and sorrows, hardships and plenty, and opportunity and predicament. How we weather theses and learn from them is what will constitute our lives. Some things we can predict and avoid, others are going to test what we are made of. The only alternative is the one way out.
In a way, I almost feel sorry for all the Trump supporters. They voted and blindly supported him in the guise of getting good jobs that he promised to bring. Now they have the slippery con man that he was all along, ranting and raving about " fake news ", " alternate facts ". and how he is being persecuted unfairly.
The only thing that this can bring is the chant " lock him up, lock him up "!
While you all are holding your fire, who was it that did that incredibly amateurish cut and paste job of Hilliary Clinton and Bin Ladden. That photoshop was so bad I think that you should tell whoever it was to get a new prescription in eyeglasses.
The proportions are way off, Bin's head is too large and at the wrong angle. Hilliary's is too small for the frame and too high on the neck. I hope you are not stupid enough to think that the picture will fool anybody . Perhaps you should fire the photo cropper and start over again. . . .Yes it's that bad! . . . . . .
Dear Socrates , ( good name for you ) I did enjoy the blog and the logic behind it. I have seen many religious and even spiritual entries posted here. Most are actually childlike in there message and as such, I sometimes post funny or conflicting views. The silly or statically improbable fables presented as facts make me just want to wonder how an adult human being can be so gullible and ridiculous.
I do however enjoy serious and intelligent conversation with opposing viewpoints. When they are intelligently presented and civilly discussed and I like that I get a reasonable different viewpoint. I may not agree on all or even some but the information is never wasted. Please post more here as it is food for thought and we can always agree to disagree. That is what adults do. . .
five and twenty Russians locked in a room hacking into computers for gloom and for doom we do it to get him elected, so hence the intrusion but his election team say that there was really no collusion
I think that this time I will spend a quiet one at home with my little dog and my spoiled cat. I might walk into town for the church ceremonies, or just sit this one out. I'll make that decision when I get there.
Seems like a lot of people are in a bad mood today. I don't know what it is, perhaps it is something in the water or some new virus spore floating around.
There would still be wars but for different reasons. one would be if the leaders came to an international meeting and two or more wore the same outfit! . . . .
We all fall into a daily routine whether we notice or not and we also fall into a pattern of life. This is not so neurotic as it may seem. It is just our conscience and sub-conscience going about the daily routine. We all do this without thinking too much about it, and we concentrate on the task at hand. It is what allows us to perform complex tasks and confront any and all obstacles that confront our path. Since we are all human and comprised of the same genes anything new will not be so enormous or difficult as to not be referenced in past experiences. Welcome to the human race.
The best advice I can give you is to politely decline. You may want to help your friend but you are setting yourself up for some possible trouble. Better safe than sorry.
I can somewhat see a need for this. At my age, I'm not actively seeking the " love of my life " or my " soulmate " to go into eternity with. I would however see and feel a need for companionship. It need not be a perfect match, God knows I'm not, but someone to do things with is very appealing. Maybe that I'll one day get off my behind and put some effort into finding this.who knows? Stranger things than this have been known to happen.
Peace in our time, That was the headline that the British newspapers where displaying after the Czechoslovakian crises was resolved by Nevil Chamberlain in 1938 . Just one year before world war two !
RE: Dodgy time to write my first blog!
How about some popcorn . . . . . . . . . . . and/ or perhaps some wine or beer and then I'll get a movie.
