Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience. Try dating somebody on the other side of the planet. ...that is long distance...but California is still pretty far too.
Perhaps as life teaches us and shows us more and more than what our teenage years showed us...we are hoping for more now?
That is true...where does a man stand today in relationships? I do think their role is returning as the grass may not have been as green as once suspected....but, I am not for certain. I would like to think that anyway.
You know, another thing about these fake profiles, it gives people false impressions of the number of potential quality mates are available. In other words, it makes them think they can hold out for only the best of the best when it comes to beauty and personality.
All very good points Legs...and very possibly true. Especially about my rakish picture of years now. My current image is probably better than that old antique...I am just waiting to pleasantly surprise some lass. Okay, perhaps I should start looking into something new to put up.
Either that...or I am thinking I might need a change. I just seem to notice the decline in traffic on that other site...and the blogs here becoming a bit harsh with each other...to the point that finding a relationships among bloggers may be tougher than one might think. ...or, I could be just babbling a bit.
So, you think a little drama...bad or good...maybe ultimately keep things alive longer. 18 years or so is a long time...I am knocking on the doorway of being around that long myself. Have you found those years well spent being on that site for that long?
In other words...perhaps there is a good reason why dating sites may be going down hill. ...if indeed they are going down hill.
lol...funny. After posting this blog, I get three instant "likes" from supposedly 3 different gorgeous women from all over the world, at once. It is becoming comedy hour now.
I have done some reading about Eastern Religions and find them fascinating, to say the least. It seems to be focused more on our internal selves....I think.
In any case, it has lasted many years and meaningless things hardly can.
I am not going to disagree with your statement...because given the perception of the individual, there is much truth behind it. I would say that it depends on the perception of death. I believe Mexico celebrates it...as do other peoples. Some also believe it is a doorway into the next level.
Although, if it truly is a doorway, then there might be some validity to this blog about karma from past lives.
It sounds like you have similar thoughts as me...about what happens in this life is what ultimately defines....creates our "full-circle"...as somebody once defined it to me.
But, the question that came to mind as I was reading your comment was....who is our God...and what are his capabilities...I suppose. With the right Being as being our God, perhaps there is more to karma. I know I am not being very specific with this last comment.
Online dating sites dying?
M4...that is a good point there.
