Georgia....as far as me being ready for another relationship...I am...but, I am not looking to get the soul tore from me again...provided I still have a soul.

Georgia, that is a great question...about what I think for myself.

I think in this day and age...with things moving so quickly, information flowing, people widely connected with each other....the days of the old relationships are nearing an end. Maybe it is just getting old....but....if you are single today, looking, and middle aged (such as myself)...finding a long term partner will be much more difficult.

Regarding my blog...my gut says to ask her while my rational mind is saying no. That was the purpose of writing the blog in the first place. But, I see from the responses, my gut was wrong.

Palm, you are right. Once in the friend zone it is difficult to leave that position.

I have played poker (cards) and listening to my gut got me in some bad situations. As far as making life decisions are concerned, I would rather bounce ideas off of others and get their advice...with something I am not sure of.

But...sometimes when all you got is gut, it might be okay to listen to that.

But...in poker, I would rather play cards with intelligence.
