Cwizzy - I love soup for almost any meal! It's one of those things that's so easy to make, and usually makes lots, so all you have to do is take some out of the freezer, and voila! The meal's done!
Molly - believe it or not, you don't taste the parsley. Apparently it's high in iron, so I add it as per the recipe, along with the kale and the other stuff. Oh yeah, and green pepper and apple. It tastes good, so that's all I'm concerned with.
Fay - I think he'll check them again next week when I go see him. Yes, I'm eating iron rich foods, drinking iron rich juice, and taking his recommended supplement (with orange juice as was suggested because iron gets absorbed 7 times faster if it's consumed with Vitamin C).
Don't those recipes look delicious?! Most of them are low carb.
Pardon me, there have been several articles on the cult of #45 in June of this year. Thank goodness some are paying attention. But notice, it's the one's that are lip-service Christians that also follow the cult, proving that some minds are easily manipulated, providing they're told what they want to hear.
It amazes me that this cult hasn't been called exactly what it is. Research any cult, and you will see exactly the same behaviour, by both the leader and the mindless followers. I suppose, it's of no surprise though, when you figure that those same lip-service Christians are so fervent in their idolization of their cult leader.
And there are several other staunch Republicans who have left the party, that have said pretty much the same thing. You want to talk about blind loyalty, all you have to do is look at his followers that excuse everything he does. If Obama or any other president did what #45 has done, the R's would have been screaming a long time ago.
And then his followers, like the lip-service Christians they are, resort to name calling of liar and hypocrite or POS when they can't refute the facts. They can't see that their own lying, hypocritical reflection and that of the biggest POS - #45. Corrupt is not even close to what he engages in, along with Congress. The cult of trump is like any other cult in history - and that is exactly what the GOP has become.
I agree, Jim. Go trump - anywhere else along with his corrupt cronies and family.
(A lip-service Christian is one who purports to follow the teachings of Christ, and likes to flaunt their Christianity as if they're wearing a badge, while they behave in the LEAST Christian manner. I suggest those lip-service Christians get out their bible and go back to church, because Christ would have cringed and been appalled at their behaviour).
And Bearwoman was absolutely correct in her assessment, but notice they are noticeably absent now.
I hate it when you buy an avocado and it's rotten inside. But like you, I have at least a 20 minute drive to the store each way, so don't bother to return them.
I buy them mostly unripe now and if you put them in a bowl with an apple or other fresh piece of fruit (not in the fridge), the ethylene from the other fruit ripens the avocados very quickly. Once ripe, put them in the fridge.
I didn't watch the vid, but have my reservations as to how accurate this is. Do they take into account that some of us really like our own company and don't particularly want a lot of interaction? I'm more than happy to interact with animals and nature and thoroughly enjoy the solitude and quiet of it. If online time counts, then yes, venting or interacting online is plenty for me.
I get enough interaction at the markets, I suppose, and find it exceedingly wearing. So I really think it depends on one's personality. If you're an introvert, interaction isn't necessarily something we'd choose to do.
1to1 - yup, isn't that a fact? I'm not sure the grass is greener, but escaping the confines of their pasture, no matter how big or small, seems to be one of their penchants!
Fay - I also love butternut squash soup with ginger. Mmm! I'm so glad soup weather is upon us. I didn't make the cauliflower soup last night, as I hadn't realized how late it was when I made dinner. So maybe today.
I have a craft fair this weekend, and homemade soup is always great to take with me to these markets/fairs.
I have to look for the recipe for tomato soup that calls for a bit of apple to be added to it. That was the best tomato soup I ever made! (I miss the emoji on MD that had the bib and knife and fork!)
Um, Jim, it was 2:30am and, in looking after my own safety, decided that calling the police was the wisest thing to do. I wasn't prepared to go pounding on a motorhome door, especially with it hanging over a ditch, in the middle of the night. That's why we have police.
Soup's On!
